Hello!
I've made yogurt with our raw milk and it is SO good! I just heat the milk, add yogurt and then put it in a 1/2 gallon jar wrapped in a towel in a styrafoam (sp?) container and it's worked all the time (except the last time I made it, it flopped!)

In fact, when there is Nancy's Organic yogurt or home-made in the fridge, most people will eat the homemade. I've also made cream cheese by the same method you've described and it's SO good!! It taste so delicious when I've made it into things!

I make homemade yogurt, and We have the same problems in our house! So, how do I make yogurt cheese? I just make as think of yogurt as I can and strain the whey out? Can you use it just like yogurt, or is it thick like cream cheese?

We made our first batch of yogurt from scratch this weekend :-)

I've been making the yogurt cheese for a while using a reuable coffee filter that fits into a 4 cup measuring cup. Works great for me. I made some of that this weekend too. DH & kids ate it up last night. I just seasoned it with some reconstituted dry veggies, and seasonings...it was yummy on biscuits! DH took the rest to work with him for lunch.

The kids have almost eaten up the yogurt so I'll be making another batch next weekend...maybe even a bigger batch just to keep up with them! I posted about it on my blog :)
