Ok, some of you may know me as FruitfulVineof7SoFar, Seeking Rest on the Homestead. Ok, Well, now it's 8. Fruitful Vine of 8.
Anyway, I started reading Created To Be His HelpMeet by Debi Pearl a couple of months ago, and this is the result: another blog.
I hope to keep this as a journal/idea center as our daughters and I read the book together and grow, as I know we will. This will NOT be a place for debate, but a place to encourage and learn about our God-given roles as women: wives, mothers and all that goes with that. That starts with being a Godly HelpMeet. There will more than likely be open discussion.
As a Mom of now 5 daughters, I am in constant prayer that I can overcome my feminist habits and train our daughters for the Lord and their calling as women.
Be so very blessed today!
Jacque

Congratulations on your 8 edition. I love the book Created to Be His Help Meet. I am on my 2nd time reading it. It may rub some people the wrong way but I love the book. I have a 13 year old daughter and I am trying to set the example of how a wife should treat her husband. It's hard knowing you are always under the watchful eye of your children lol. God Bless you in your roll as Help Meet and as Wonder Mom.

I want to read that book. I have heard so many great things about it! I agree with you 100% about breaking the thought pattern of the world and training them to be the women God wants us to be.
Nice Idea!
Blessings,
Chas

I would love to see a post about "feminist habits".........
I was raised in the era of "woman power"then into the 80's the decade of greed, then the 90's the BEGINNING of the "age of entitlement'......
I am sure that I have some deep rooted 'feminist habits' I am either not aware of, or haven't given up, and I would love to start working on that.
Thanks
Laura
