Short sabbattical, I think. Opinion poll...
Wow.
I had no idea.
Due to popular demand, I guess I won't stop blogging... Jeesh! You ladies really know how to make a girl feel wanted. However. I'm done trying to be someone I'm not so you get me, bad habits and all, ok? So. I need your opinion. Where should I blog? (based on readability & useability, not so much content) Here's your choices:
1. Here at the hopeful homestead (I may talk about non homesteady things... like beer ... from time to time...) I may also change the look of this blog also, because, well, that's what I do...
2. Home to Gilead: (I'm not always a total greenie peacenik, life's not always rosy...)
3. Simple Gifts: (my "deep thoughts" blog. you can see I don't have them very often... lol!)
4. should I create one new blog that encompasses all of who I am, and stop being a blogging schizophrenic? Such as "Life is Messy dot com or something..." (my current personal favorite)
Please leave me a comment telling me where you prefer to read, and why. For those of you who read and don't usually comment, please do this time. I'd like to hear your opinions. Just hit the comment button, and you can type in your name even if you don't have an account here. OK?
Thanks. and well, thanks.
Shari

I want to think about it
I have decided to think about it overnight before I answer. I also have more than one blog so that is not unusual to me. It would be hard for me to decide which one for me to close. I expect it will be difficult for me to vote on which one for you to use since I read all three of your blogs and I enjoy them all but I will do my best to do that in the morning.
The Real You
The real you is the one I want. There is no perfect person. There is no person without bad habits. So just keep on being you. You are the only one that can be you so you are the only chance we have at it. :)

I know that I will probably be no help at all, but you should blog where you're most comfortable. I have all of your blogs bookmarked and I don't mind going to all three. BUT, if you feel you can only blog certain things on one and certain things on another, and want to simplify, well... No matter where you blog, you will still be you; family-focused, homesteading, homeschooling, greenie-peace-nik, schizo, beer-drinking, cussing, truck-driving, libertarian, pants-wearing, short-haired, big-hearted girl who has a way with words.
um... what's your motto been recently...

hmmm... you already know my thoughts on multiple blogs, and like Sherrie, I don't mind visiting all three, especially as the other two have rss ;-)
but in light of your recent attempts to simplify... I don't know exactly what that would mean for your blogging options, but that's my $0.02
Where to blog

I read all of your blogs in Google Reader so they all look the same to me - it strips out formatting.
If you already don't use one blog much, I'd drop that first. If there is an overwhelming negative reaction to the topics you cover in one forum, I'd drop that one next. If none of these is true I'd consider which is easiest to use or whose community you link to the most.
Finally, if nothing else works, I'd look at purpose. Hopeful Homestead is where you started, but now you actually HAVE the homestead. Home to Gilead is where you moved to, and you really HAVE Gilead. Maybe that means you're home.

My thoughts
I have no problem whatsoever reading all three blogs. As I have stated, I have multiple blogs myself. They are for different purposes. However, If I must choose one for you it would be homestead blogger. I counted your posts and you blogged more there over the last few weeks. On that blog you could still write about being a greenie and locavore and blog deep thoughts. Homesteaders come in all varieties. :)) We are not cookie cutter people and I for one am very happy about that. This is still a free country after all. I am looking very much forward to being able to read your words regardless of whether they are on one blog or multiple blogs. Hope this helps a little. :)
to blog or not to blog?

As one of those out of town friends, I feel I am still in the loop by being able to read your blogs, wherever they may be, every day. I know we just talked, but I wanted you to know how important your blogs/pictures are to me.
