Miniature donkeys.....more info!

Hi and thanks for all the great comments!  By the way, I will try to get a picture of my sheep and donkeys on here soon.  My sheep...unlike the picture shown are black!  Yep.....3 black sheep!  Well, I will save the sheep for another discussion.  Miniature donkeys are great!  They don't require a lot.  Good hay and lots of water.  They are great to have if you have only a small amount of acreage.  To be considered miniature they cannot be over 36" tall.  The tallest donkey I have is 33".  You cannot ride them but they can carry things.  You can show them and teach them to jump.  When they are 3 you can teach them to pull a cart.  We have a gelding and when he is 3 we are going to hopefully teach him to pull a cart.  The donkeys' names are Keeley, Jazzie and Coal.  Coal is my gelding and he was a year old last Nov.  He is my baby.  They do love pretzels, so we give them pretzels as a treat.  They all have different "brays" and none of them sound like "hee-haw, hee-haw".  Well, I hope this answers some of the questions, if you have any more let me know!

They sound great! How much do they cost, and where do people find these miniature donkeys?

Thanks!
Michelle
