Hey everyone!

Long time no talk and im not gonna talk to much now.

Just wanted to let everyone know i got my permit!

(sounds so weird comming from an 18 year old)

so watchout moterists im on the road! lol

$50 pie recipe (or the worst kept secret recipe)

Mmmmmmm... I just love the smell of fresh form scratch caramel custard pumpkin pie!
 Last week I made some for our church pie auction and made around $50 a pie for them. I probably should keep it a secret recipe cause every good cook has got to have one but I really want to share this one so I guess it's not the right one to keep secret.
(oh first I'm gonna give you the pie crust recipe because the pie tastes best with this one pie crust)

  Never Fail Amish Pie crust
1 1/2c shortening
3c flour
1t salt
1 egg
1t vinegar
5T cold water

Mix together shortening, flour and salt. Beat together egg, vinegar and water. Add last a little at a time.
Makes 3 pies

Caramel Custard Pumpkin Pie

1 c pumpkin
1c sugar
1c brown sugar
3T flour
3 eggs, separated
1t salt
1/2t nutmeg
1/2t  cinnamon
3c milk
1/2t lemon
1t vanilla


Mix pumpkin, flour, sugar, spices, and salt. Add egg yolks, milk, lemon, and vanilla. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture(it will be runny). Bake at 350 degrees until firm (about 1 1/2 hours). Makes 2 pies.

Hard Work is well HARD!!!

 So I have a summer job at a camp, and at the moment we have a group of 260 middle schoolers here. We make the food and do ALL of the dishes and at the moment the dishwasher is broken......GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! We also do cleaning fixing things and running snack shop.

A little anoyed today because yesterday I got mistaken for one of the middle schoolers 5 times! (I am graduated)...so yeah vent time
