Inspired by Glenda

I read Glenda's blog this morning on how much they spend a month and I tell you I was convicted.  We spend way too much money.  I go to the grocery store all the time it seems.  That would be my biggest expense.  I will be going just for milk and it will end up being $50.00.  What ideas do any of you have for staying out of the grocery store?  I am making all of my own bread now but I still go back for milk atleast 1-2 times a week.  I should get my DH to pick it up on the way home so that I wont be the one going in.  Anyway suggestions would be great.

Here is a thought. If you have a idea of how much milk you use buy it when you are in town. Then come home open the plastic carton and remove some of the milk. And freeze it in the freezer.. When you start getting low on milk remove one of the gallons.. we used to do this all the time when we were buying goats milk from a lady.. Another idea is use 1/2 and half. half whole milk and make up half powder milk and mix the two..

I went back and read all of Glenda's post...yes, I feel very guilty - spend money like crazy!!! What an inspiration she is...I have the same problem...if I stayed out of WalMart..I would probably be rich!!!
