Where things stand as of now....

First off thank you Gloria for saying I look young. My mom is almost 60 and I promise doesn't look a day over 40. She is beautiful. Anyway, I feel like without any makeup, I look 12 with a 16 yr. old daughter.LOL One day I will be thrilled.LOL
About the house, Laura asked where we stand. Well, DH will put in his packet for the new job by the end of the week. We think he has a good shot, as he has done this job before, in Iraq. We should know something by the end of Feb. Then we will put an offer on the house. In the meantime we are going to continue to look at property and PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. Even though sometimes I forget, God is in control of it all!!!
I guess that is the biggest reason for my simplicity kick. I will have a whole 812 sq. ft. to work with and a 400 sq. ft. storage building if we buy the cabin. Now, granted it would be temporary but it would be for a while. I have found myself looking around my school room and saying all of this would have to go in storage. We could do it!!!
Blessings,
Trixi

You do look young :o) Funny, I had you pictured after talking with you as more of an auburn hair color. LOL....isn't it funny how we get pictures in our heads reading folks around here only to find them sharing a photo and it's nothing like what we thought.
I'm praying for you!!! 812 sq feet, heh? Definitely cozy cabin living. Dewey says folks should move every couple of years -- you tend to get rid of things when you move, so theoretically you could get yourself down to bare necessities in no time that way.

Thank you for the nice comments on my blog today. I appreciate it! It must have been incredibly hard on all of y'all when your husband was in Iraq.
Also, that's a great picture of you. It's nice to put your face with your name! I should post my picture...maybe.
Have a great evening and God bless you!
Meredith

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
