Around the home

Today, is a rather busy day around the home.  We have a friend from church and DH's work, coming to dinner tonight. 

Contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. Romans 12:13

God's Word calls us to be hospitable to the saints and I wish we did this more often but we have not found very many likeminded Saints here.  This friend is driving about an hour to have dinner with us.  We are excited about the visit.

Anyway, I have had school to do, laundry to do, bread to make, floors to sweep and mop, dishes to do, floors to vacuum, and so on and so on.  I am about done.  I need to dry my sheets and put them on the bed and then walk around and tidy one more time before DH comes home.  However, the house smells and looks good and I am thankful that God gave me time to get it all done, and go into town to see DH.  He is good beyond my imagination. 

On top of all, today is a dreary, humid day.  We are getting rain, again.  In the summer I was praying for rain and now I would like it to dry up a bit.  Isn't that just like our sinful nature, never being satisfied.
