On the agenda for the day......

It's Saturday and I rarely blog on the weekends. Usually, DH is home and our time is devoted to him, but Dh has drill this weekend. I got up and fixed his breakfast to get him started out on a great note. Then he was out the door. Today, I hope to work on the block of the month and work on the blocks that I needed to do before Christmas.LOL I am just now getting time. I also plan to finish the laundry and clean, not straighten, but clean the house. It is cold here in Ms. and there is no reason to go out!!! I am about to put on a crockpot full of red beans and rice. Perfect for a cold winter day. My girls have been learning to make the bread and I hope to get them started on a loaf for lunch. I am just thrilled that they came to me and asked to start making it!!
As for an update on our little cabin, we are going back to look at it on Monday with a realtor. I really wanted to get around the realtor thing but DH said we couldn't, as it was listed. Anyway, it does not have a permanent septic and it only has the insulation up in the living room. It needs walls and a ceiling in the living room. On the website it says it is 80% complete. The rest of the house according to the pictures on the site look great. We have been out there twice now and love the land and the construction part of it will be a breeze for DH. However, we do think he is asking to much. In fact we think we will offer about $15,000.00 less than what he is asking. He will probably laugh at it but we can't pay more than it is worth. I pray that it all works out but if it doesn't then that is not where God wants us. We probably wont even make an offer until next month sometime. The longer it is on the market the more inclined he may be to come down. Plus, DH will be applying for one of the jobs in Meridian the first week of Feb. If he doesn't get that one, then we will probably start looking at other NG jobs around the state. I hope all of that makes sense. Basically, we are just waiting to see what the Lord opens up and praying for His guidance and wisdom.
Blessings,
Trixi

Thanks for popping by & leaving a comment on my blog
Re block of the month I already had the material & I do know how to quilt so it didn't take me long to whip it up. I also nearly finished another block will post on my blog when finished - but stayed up way past my bedtime to get that done.
Good luck with the house.

Yes you will have to keep us posted, Sometimes folks have a high price and then use that as leverage to either go down a lil bit or not, just depends on the person I guess selling or buying....

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
