Well tomorrow is the start to a better us.....

DH and I went to Meridian to get our items for the Cleanse starting tomorrow.  Meridian has our closest health food store.  We had to purchase Grade B Maple Syrup (whew expensive) and a laxative tea.  We also went to Lifeway, Sam's, and to the Meridian Naval Air Station Commissary to buy groceries.  At the store on post (NEX), we also purchased an electric juicer for our lemons for $10.00.  I thought that was a great deal, as we can also use it for fresh orange juice.  I had a $50.00 gift card from Christmas and wanted to use it at Lifeway.  I got a read your Bible in a year English Standard Version Bible.  I have been wanting to try out this version, as I have read it is the most accurate translation and I also wanted a read through the Bible in a year Bible.  This covered both.LOL  I will have to check the translation with the Hebrew/Greek to English reference.  So far what I have seen looks really good.   

We also went and had a "last meal" at Applebee's.  It was so good.  We hardly ever eat out and it was such a great treat before our big fast.  Tonight, we have been snacking on cookies and chocolate.LOL  You would think we are dying or something.LOL  However, we are changing our lives.  Even after we finish the Master Cleanse in a couple of weeks.  We are cutting out refined sugar and trying to go to a more raw foods diet.  We wont be cutting out meat but we do hope to cut down on meat and milk consumption.  We are really striving to lead healthier lives not only for our health but for the health of our children who have inherited our sweet tooth.LOL  The children will be starting the no sugar thing tomorrow.  Although, I did buy sugarey breakfast cereal, as I am hoping not to go near the kitchen for a few days (temptation).  I thought cereal would be the easiest thing, for breakfast, for a while.  I am ordering whole grain cereal through our CoOp but it will take a couple of weeks to get it. 

Well, I just finished my tea and am heading to bed.  I will start my morning tomorrow with a sea salt flush drink and read, day 1, of my new Bible.  Then it will be the Lemonade, for the rest of the day.  DH and I are going to go to his Armory first thing tomorrow and do a weigh in on his official Army scales.  I dread that but I do want an accurate weight.  I will keep you posted on how things go on the cleanse.  I am praying that we can stick it out, as I really feel like this is a great way to come off of all refined sugars.

reading the Bible in a year

I am going to start tomorrow also with reading the Bible in a year, I already have a ESV Bible and really enjoy it, it's not a read in a year one but I printed out the list from oneyearBibleonline.com and plan on starting tomorrow with it....I pray that you will enjoy your new Bible...

laxative tea

Where did you find your laxative tea? I am going to blog tomorrow about the cleanse that I am beginning and I can't find the tea anywhere in town. I have not checked Walmart yet and so will probably go there tomorrow. See you at Fit by 40!
