Friends in the Memphis, Tn. area....

One of the gifts that my son and Dh received were tickets to the Liberty Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 29.  Go Dawgs!!  Well, we are putting some thought into all of us riding up to Memphis and the girls and I will drop the boys off at their game and we will go to a Mall or something.  Keep in mind we do not have a mall in our area and every once in a blue moom my girls would like to go to one.LOL  Ofcourse, Memphis is one of the top 25 most dangerous cities in America.  So I was thinking of dropping them off and then getting back on to 240 and go to Germantown for our shopping.  My question is do any of you have ideas for a nice place to go around Memphis.  We will have about 4 hours to play with so it can be around 30 mins. outside of Memphis.  Thank you for your help.

Oh, you have to meet me at the Galleria Mall !!!!

It is right off of I-240 in a very nice area. It really is not Memphis, so to say, you know, not the "city" of Memphis.

We don't have to spend the whole time together if you want time with your girls but I would love to show you the area !!! It is just full of every store you could ever want to shop at. All within a couple of miles of the mall.

We noticed Southhaven was just cram-packed with strip malls and specialty shops while living there at LeBonheur :o)
Grab Pat and maybe meet up with LeighAnn as well and have a girls' day of it!!!
Of course, now I'm jealous they are meeting you and I still haven't, but it's ok....I absolutely **hate** large cities, and if I never visit Memphis proper again, I will be happier than ever :o)
