Wow, what a great night....

All of the back breaking work was so well worth it.  We finished about 2 ish and then DH and oldest DD went hunting.  I got in the shower (well needed and deserved).  I then headed to town for some of those last minute, oh, I forgots.  When I came home I finished the bread I was making and got it all wrapped.  Youngest Dd made a pumpkin pie for a neighbor.  Then when DH came home we took bread, jelly and a pie to two of the neighbors.  We had a good visit with each of them.  I came home and fixed dinner.  We ate and then read our story and DH went into an in depth reading of the Birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  It was so good.  He really had us picturing how humble Jesus' birth and life for that matter were.  How His parents could not even afford the sacrificial lamb at his circumcision, they used 2 turtledoves and 2 pigeons.  Which was sufficient for the poorest of poor.  After our reading, we let the kids open their gifts from each other and one of the joint gifts we got them.  It was some family friendly DVD's.  They are now watching one and I am working on the fixings for tomorrows dinner.  The breakfast casserole is in the refridgerator chilling and the oj is made up.  It has been an absolutely wonderful day.  We tend to find joy in the simplest things.  Thank you Jesus for your Son and His example of simple humbleness.
