Tonight, youngest DD made chocolate cookies which we iced half of them with chocolate icing. This recipe was soooo good. Then oldest DD made a wonderful batch of fudge. I put some cookies in a tin for the 2 guys at DH's work. We will add more cookies tomorrow and put in some fudge. I will also get up in the morning and make 2 fresh loaves of bread for them. I will also be giving them a homemade jar of jelly to go with the bread. Then I will start on tins for the neighbors and hopefully bread and jelly.
Today, I finally decided on just sending my dad and his wife a gift basket. I know it wasn't very creative but I finally just said ok this is what I'm doing. I hope to make him some goodies and take them to him sometime in Jan. or Feb. All I have left is to finish my brother's family basket and add a gift card to it, and get my inlaws a gift card. Things are wrapping up nicely.
Friday night we are going to the City in Lights in Canton. It's about 30 mins. away and we rode through a couple of weeks ago and were amazed that they had all of that going on. The kids wanted to get out so badly but it was cold and we were way under dressed. So they are excited to be going and get to walk around and see all the lights and maybe ride in the horse drawn buggy. Then we should have a pretty laid back weekend, as our family Christmas festivities will not begin until Monday at my mom's.
Soft & Chewy Chocolate Drops

Blen in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake for 8 mins. Makes about 60 cookies.
Glaze (optional)
1 tub of cool whip
6 squares of semi-sweet baking chocolate
1 cup powdered sugar
Put baking chocolate in with cool whip and microwave for 1-1/2 mins. or until mixture is melted. Stir in powdered sugar. Glaze cooled cookies.
Enjoy!!!

We have not started our baking yet. My oven went out last week, bad time to go out. My husband bought us a new one today, it is hooked up and ready to go.
We will probably bake all day for the next two days.
Gloria commented that she liked the music. What music? I do not ever hear music on anyones blog. Could that be because I have dial-up?

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
