Good Morning,

First things first, while up surfing, way too early this morning, I found this website http://tammysrecipes.com/node.   It's a really neat homemaking site and I will be trying those spinach tortillas.  They soundes scrumptious.

I was awakened at about 3:30 by middle DD wanting to get in our bed and have not been able to get back to sleep since.  I foresee a nap in my future.  DH  is off today and he and Ds are out hunting this morning.  They should be back in a couple of hours if they don't get too cold.  It is about 23* here right now.  I would not dare venture out in it but you know how hunters are.LOL  Anyway, I am making a pan of biscuits with gravy for breakfast.   I plan on putting on a big pot of beef vegetable soup and a pan of cornbread for dinner.  There is also a mound of laundry to be done today and some sprucing up around the home.  We are going to have a light week of schooling.  Probably just Math and English everyday.  We will also have our usual reading going on.  I want to have time to make treats for friends and neighbors without being stressed.  We have no obligations on the calendar for this week.  I hope to not venture to far from the house all week.  Although, my mom says she might come Friday and we may finish up the last bit of her Christmas gift buying.  We will see.  It should be a great week.

And on the topic of gift buying, I still have my dad and stepmom to buy for.  They are people who have everything.  I have a few ideas but would love some more.  What do you think?  I would love to keep it under $40.00 as my resources are getting slimmmer.

Blessings,

Trixi

You could have the kids make little "work cards" for them......they can say "rake yard" " wash windows" whatever.
Decorate them with fancy paper and stickers and stuff like that........
Service gifts!

Good morning,
The similarities between us keep showing up. I had the same problem shopping for our Dad and stepmom...have everything they need or want. We decided to gift a flock of geese in their honor from Heifer International this year. I'm printing out a card to let them know and putting some new pictures of the kids in with it.
Have a great day,
Leigh-Ann

Hi! My mom and step-dad are the same! They have everything that they could possibly need, so for the last few years, I have given them a gift certificate to Wal-Mart. They can use it in all areas of the store, even the pharmacy, and it is good for a year. That way, they can use it whenever they want, and for whatever they might happen to need. Hope that idea helps!

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
