About the house....

Here is the house we looked at today.  These are not great pictures, as they are off the realtors website.  Here is the site where it is located http://www.phillipsrealtyonline.com/listing.asp?propid=76206.  We are not sure if this is the one or not but it is very interesting.  The old part of the house (100+ yrs) does not even have electricity.  However, the brick part (20 yrs) is the new addition.  I think it would look great painted white and possibly tie into the old part of the house better. The new part is totally remodeled and in great shape.  We would be working on the old farmhouse for the rest of our lives.LOL  The thing that is really intriguing is that it is huge.  With both parts together it would be 4000+ sq. ft.  The addition has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath.  It has a huge recreation room that we would use as the girls bedroom for right now.  The old part of the house has I guess 2 bedrooms and 1 bath.  It has a dog trot down the middle, which I love.  Then there is a huge sunroom and some other little room.  The house has 4 fireplaces.  The new part also has central heat and air but the old part has nothing for air.  It also has a big red barn in the back and a small chicken house.  It is like it's supposed to be ours.  The house also sits on the most beautiful piece of land.  It's up on a hill that overlooks a wooded valley.  We are really in much prayer over this.  We don't want to rush out on feelings!!!  So if you think about it, please say a prayer that we would be right in God's will!

Father God you said to ask and you will receive seek and you will find. So as this family is doing this I trust with NO doubts that you are working on the perfect home for this family to live in. You so lovingly give us our hearts desires because YOU put them their. I lift this family up to you as you hold them closer to your heart so they hear your voice and do what is your will concerning this and all that comes. In Jesus' Holy name! Rilda

Wow - that is a lot of space! I would LOVE that!! :) It's so green there..... lovely....... only 2 acres though.... is that enough for your horses?

That looks to be a really neat looking home, and you are so right as to keep your feelings on it in check with reality. I hope you guys get what ever it is that is going to be HOME

I followed the link. Wow, nice home. I can't believe the price. Something like that would go for over 125,000 easy in my neck of the woods. I can understand wanting to go with your head instead of heart tho. I did that with my current home and am sorry. It's a nice home but so many things were hidden that keep popping up. They put new siding over dry rotted walls, never re insulated, cheap carpeting over damaged floors, the list goes on. I'll keep you in my prayers and if it is in God's plan, it will be so. As I search for a home closer to work (I have a 25 mile commute) I remind myself daily of the same.

Buying a home is a huge I know. We are actually thinking about moving as well. My family has our heart set on a certain model in a new development, but like you said we are praying for God's will not our's. I will keep you in prayer , that God will show you the perfect house that He has already choosen for you and your family. If you think of me maybe do the same for us.
