Busy Busy Weekend, Time changing and just all around Daily Doings.....

What a great weekend we had but it just flew by. Dh had drill this weekend and so he was MIA for the most part. My son had two football games on Saturday. Which meant we were at the field from 10:30 until about 4:00. He won the first and lost the second. They have won their whole district and now go on to the playoffs. I keep wondering is this ever going to end. He has really enjoyed it though.
My mom came and so afterwards we went to a little gift shop to look around. Then it was home to cook supper. My girls had to go to the 4H office and take the hunter safety course. We were hoping that Dh could stay with them when they went but this was the last weekend they were offering it. It was there first outing ever without me or DH. It all went well. They were let go for an hour for lunch and they came over to the football field during that. I just tend to worry when they do not have some type of chapperone or protector with them. I think with age my strings get tighter and tighter. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around.LOL
Well, on weekends that DH has drill, we also have a friend from home stay with us. So we had a big supper and enjoyed the friend's company.
Yesterday, seemed to drag after changing the time. I don't much like it getting dark at 5:10, as we tend to be outdoorsy type people. I know that it is just a season. Our horses are all confused. They were standing very impatiently at the fence waiting for hay yesterday and this morning. They will figure it out!
Today, DH is off and he and the children took the 4 wheeler to the hunting land to sight in their guns and find that perfect hunting spot for next weekend. They are all so excited about filling my freezer full of deer meat. I am, as well. This is the first year that they have joined a hunting club. The one they have joined is huge and has a deer camp to go to when they need a break. It's also very family friendly, which is what we were looking for. After taking the hunter safety class, my eldest DD is wanting to buy a bow to bow hunt and do some archery.
I have to run back to Starkville to take oldest DD to the orthodontist this afternoon. It will be a very full day!
Blessings to you all!

First off, before I forget -- can you use 8th grade Alpha Omega? I found the English (first disc only), Math and Bible.
Dewey has been thinking of the various hunt clubs around here. Up north they aren't really abundant, but seems down here it's the only way to really find some decent hunting land. I don't care where he hunts as long as we can fill at least part of the freezer with some venison!

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
