SNAKES!!!

Well, our Sunday started out pretty well.  We had decided to stay home from church in order to have some family time (most important).  My husband has been working alot and we just needed to spend some time together.  I took a late shower and was brushing out my hair when I looked down at my baseboard and saw a baby SNAKE!  Let me say,  I do not under no circumstances, like snakes.  I realize I live in the country and it's just part of it, but I still do not like snakes.  My oldest daughter caught it in a jar and we determined it was not poisonous.  It was probably a chicken snake or a water snake.  I ofcourse, wanted it dead but my children would not even think of it.  So after watching it for a while we let him go.  Does this mean I have more snakes in my house?

Snakes are my worst nightmare!!!!!!!! I absolutely hate them!!! And I know it is getting to be that time of the year, but yucky... Sorry you had to go through that, glad it was only a baby though.. maybe that helped a little bit :)

Oh my, you poor dear! How did you keep from heart failure!? I don't know if there are any more snakes or not, but old-timers say that throwing out moth balls around, well, everywhere outside...the garden, the house, flower beds, trash cans, etc. will ward off snakes. I've done this the past couple of years and haven't seen a one!

I noticed you said yall are researching having chickens. Have you found anything really informative...like a "Raising Chickens for Dummies" kind of material? I think I want some, but my dh thinks I don't! lol
