Sugar Alternatives...

I am really beginning to research and get into not using refined sugars.  This morning I made pancakes and sausage for my DD's.  They love pancakes.  I used honey in my batter instead of the standard 2T of sugar.  However, I still used regular syrup.  What are, those of you who are cutting out refined sugar, using in place of syrup?  The honey in the pancakes was great.  I have also been substituting honey for sugar in my bread.  That has worked out well also....

Hi Trixi! I use pure Maple Syrup or sometimes we us fresh berries when they are in season! Hope this helps!

Maple syrup is good to use instead of regular pancake syrup - although my son won't eat it. I try to use honey instead of white or brown sugar; molasses is healthy too. jill
