Getting a side of Beef.....

Well, we have been on a list to get a side of beef for about a year and a half.  They called today and said that the beef would be ready in about 3-4 weeks.  Ofcourse that is right when we are planning to start moving.  Doesn't that just figure?  Well, it's going to be about 350 lbs. of beef at $1.85 a pound.  It's a great deal.  That includes everything from ground beef to T-Bone steaks.  I really want to do it but we have just got to figure out if this is a time that we can financially do it and if we have room.  What does 350 lbs. of beef even look like?  Oh, my, if we don't have the room we might be able to split it with someone.  We will just have to see.  It is a blessing but the time is a little hairy.  That's ok, God knows what we need and when.

I love your blog! Your garden looks fantastic! I hope we can get ours bigger in due time. Tonight we ate our first green beans and there is nothing like fresh garden produce out of your own garden.

My husband retired from the Army two years ago - we know all about moving! Are you getting another place in the country?
