A little bit of everything....

We started early this morning and are off to a great day of homeschooling. The kids are busy doing Math review and handwriting. Peyton is still doing his Letters and Sounds. It is a beautiful day here in North Ms. It is expected to get up in the 70's. After a month or more of rain we are loving this taste of spring. Tuesday, I washed all the sheets and hung them on the line. Yesterday, I did towels and today I plan to do the rest of the laundry. I love being able to hang things out on a clothesline.
My husband is gone to Meridian today to help build a fence for a man who was injured in Iraq. My husband spent all of last year in Iraq. He just got home in Dec. One of his guys was hit by an IED an killed. Another group went out to help and also got hit. In the second hit a man from Meridian who we do not know was seriously injured. He is still at Walter Reed Med. Center in Washington. At his home they are in need of some fencing for horses or cattle that are getting out. So my husband and some others are off to do fencing today. The Lord has been so good to us during all of this and we would love to share that with others. He showed us patience and waiting on Him to be God. He showed me that I need to depend on Him and not on my husband. That was a hard one for me but God is good and merciful and He loves us. I would never want to do a year of being mother/father again but I would not take anything for the lessons our family learned last year. God is Faithful....
I hope all of you have a great day!!!
Blessings,
Trixi

We just moved 2 weeks ago to our 35 acre farm and are right there with you checking into chickens and cows :) It is so exciting isn't it. What I have loved most is the sunrise and sunset. My kids are getting tired of hearing it every day :) But when you are used to seeing rooftops and power lines in the way of God's awesomeness, it is wonderful to see it clearly.

God is truly amazing, I'm glad your husband is back home safely and willing to go and help others.
P.S. I emailed you about the reversal stuff.

That is kind of your husband to do! Sounds like you have a great guy. Thank him for his service in Iraq. One of my brothers is a Marine, and he was over there as well. :-) Love in Christ, Amy Jo

What a great testimony in the flesh you are sharing with your children! Self-less service is a wonderful thing in this day and age!
My brother is back over there again. He is ex-military, but went in as a special force op with a private team working various security posts. He comes back to the States every 3 months for 2-3 weeks.

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
