Preparing for Spring....

Well, here in N. Mississippi the weather is beautiful. The last few days the temps have been upper 60's and low 70's. Just wonderful!!! KWIM....So for our house this has meant lots of outside time. We have been taking long walks, playing with the horses and doing some outside tidying up. I told my son last night that we have got to get in the garden and start pulling and straightening. My biggest delima is that as the days get longer I have trouble getting supper put on the table. I like to be outside as much as the kiddos. It's terrible of me I know. So this year I have decided the oldest DD and I need to make up some casseroles to put in the freezer. That way if there is a night that we are just having too much fun in the garden or playing with the animals we can still have a descent meal. My house also gets neglected more during this time of year. Don't get me wrong, it is still tidied but not deep cleaned. So now I am trying to get things cleaned out and decluttered. I cleaned out the game closet, movie shelf, and craft shelves this week. I would like to get the pantry, refrigerator, and laundry shelves done before the weekend is finished. I am just pulling everything out, wiping shelves down, and throwing out anything we have not used in a while. I need to get the screened in porch done, too. I use our screened in porch for much needed storage space. Eventually, we are going to have to break down and either build a storage building or buy one of those cheap ones at Lowe's.
I hope you all have a great weekend. I think we are going to go and try to get our walk in early.
Blessings,
Trixi

Trixi,
The weather is warming up here too and like you I like to be outside and I also find in the summer months that getting dinner on is hard and it's usually late.... I think putting something on in the morning in the crockpot helps or like you said freezing something..... also the good ole barb-b-que works......
enjoy the weather!

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
