What kind of Bread Pan do you use?

I am making homemade bread daily now and I would like to get a new bread pan.  I have two glass 8.5 in. pans.  I would like atleast one 10 to 10.5 in. pan.  My recipe that I like would make one nice size loaf so this size would work good for me.  We like the bread fresh daily.  I have heard horror stories about aluminum pans, so I wanted to see what some of you might suggest.  I found an All-Clad pan with great reviews but it was $84.00.  I don't know if I want to make an investment like that quite yet.
Blessings,
Trixi

Ok so what is wrong with aluminum pans. I think I've heard, but cannot remember... I have two glass pans 8.5 by 4.5 inches and I like that size for toast and it makes a nice size sandwich... not too big (good for us on a diet). But I am looking into gleaning more loaf pans as well... A guy at Farmer's Market makes the big loaves, I assume in the 10 inch or larger size... and people swarm to him. But they don't fit in the toaster? We LOVE toast! LOL. Oh well.
Warmly, ~Melissa

I use Pampered Chef loaf pan. It's alittle expensive, but so far it's my favorite.

Mine is a "NorPro" pan.....I bought it through the Urban Homemaker. They are the 8.5 size pans.

They work wonderfully. I think I purchased 5 for 30.00. That sounds about right. I read in my Breadbeckers cook book ((I think)) that I should not use glass pans to bake bread in? I can't remember why.......

I use 8.5 glass pans. I would like to eventually switch to Pampered Chef loaf pans. I won't use aluminum.

OH, Oh, OH!! I found a GREAT economical choice for good quality pots and pans....it's ranked right up there with All-Clad. It's called Gourmet Standard...they have loaf pans (not sure of the sizes) King Arthur Flour carries their cookware in their catalog, their description says,
"Gourmet Standard - 1.5-Qt Saucepan with Lid
This 1.5-quart lidded saucepan sells on the market under a famous label, but we purchase from the manufacturer without paying for the advertising hype–and pass the savings along to you!"

Just look up the website for King Arthur Flour and look at their catalog under cookware. One last thing, do a search for Gourmet Standard, you can pull up their website and see pictures.

America's Test Kitchen ranked these pots right up there with All-Clad. I know I keep referring to the pots and pans but they do sell bakeware...

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
