Soap making and tidbits

My Fels Naptha came yesterday. DH made me 2 gallons of Laundry Det. yesterday. We will see if it makes a difference. I will have to say that it does have a cleaner smell to it. Like maybe it's stronger. DH made it because for some reason he likes to make up my laundry detergent. I haven't quite figured that out but I am not complaining. I have been doing laundry all morning with it. So far, so good.
I had to order it from Soaps Gone By, as I can not find it in any stores around here. It's a little much to order but I bought enough to last several months. I also bought some Kirk's Castille Soap, to make soap flakes for dish detergent. I should have a good supply for a while.
Well, today is a big day. DH and I hope to go do some bulk shopping later. Maybe, stock up on a few things for a while. My bulk order from my CoOp got all mixed up and it will be another 2 months before I can get wheat berries through them. So we are going on a little road trip 2 1/2 hours North to find some.
