Here is a homestead essential arround our house.....

The How to Herb Book by Velma J. Keith and Monteen Gordon

You can find it here at Amazon.com.  We use it quite a bit, considering we do everything humanly possible to stay out of the doctor's office.  We also pray daily.  For instance, last fall DH's cholesterol was way over 200.  With diet and exercise and taking garlic daily he has gotten it back down under 200.  We also take Vit. C daily and when someone gets the first symptom of a cold we start echinacea.  We have learned a ton from this book.
