How to make pizza sauce?

I have been making homemade pizza for a while now and after making it tonight, I want a new pizza sauce.  I have been buying the premade pizza sauce at the grocery store but I would love a recipe for a new "from scratch" one.  Does anyone have a really good marinara/pizza sauce?  I would really appreciate it!!!!

Well, tomato sauce, to start with. SImmer gently for awhile ... adding a little sugar (or choice of sweetener) if you like a little sweet - dash of salt. Orgegano, Marjarim, basil, thyme, garlic, onion. Any or all of these. Pepper. Cook slowly until reasonably thick. If you don't like it that way, then add anything else you think will work. When I am trying a new recipe that I like in a commercial container, I usually read the ingredients and go from there.
