I did not get much sleep last night. A friend of mine called and offered me a job. Hubby and I went over the pros and cons all night long! It would be day shift, a switch for me. On the up side it offers more pay, wich means we would be closer to our dreams. On the flip side that means DAYCARE. I have an aunt that would be able to watch them partime and for a reasonable rate. I just dread looking for someone to watch them on her off days. Besides no one will be able to do it like we do. What if the kids turn into little monsters, as sometimes happens when under the influence of other children? My children are very loving and trusting, I would hate for them to lose that! I still do not know what to do. Hubby, of course, thinks I worry to much. I need a nap! Please pray we find the right path on this one.

I just came home from work. It is 1:30 AM. I walked in to a messy house and my hubby asleep on the couch with the kids new Christmas pup. As I was picking things up around the house, I found myself wondering what fun I must have missed this evening. It looked as though Brandon (baby boy) had the opportunity to check out his new train set. I hope he enjoyed it. Hubby looked peaceful and happy in his sleep. He probably enjoyed it also! I did not have the heart to wake him and move him to bed. This turned out to be a good thing. As I was getting ready to hop into bed I found my three year old and a few dollies in there! My eldest helped her cousin pack up her house today. I know she went to bed easily! My son always looks so peaceful when he sleeps. It relaxes me just to watch him. So now I am off to bed to snuggle with Kaitlynn. Good night and GOD BLESS!!! |

I am just getting ready for work. As I sit here dreading it,I have to remind myself that we are just a few years away from our dream! Why does it seem like forever? I am the night manager at a grocery store. The pay is not so good, but with me working nights we don't have to pay for daycare. I can't wait to just be at home with my husbby and kids. My hubby and I rarely see one another.
BACK TO THE DREAM!!!!!!
I would like to ask anyone who reads this for help. We are curious as to how much land we should be looking for. We are planning on having 3 horses (a family member is getting them for the kids), a cow or two, a few pigs, and of course chickens! We would also like to have a huge garden. How many acres should we be looking for? Also we were thinking of doing some crop farming. We have, however, never farmed and do not know anyone who has. We just would like to give it a go!
Well off to work I go! I will be adding photos late tonight. |

My oldest daughter Alyssa is 8. She is at the age when you still want to beleive in Santa yet you kinda know how it works. This year I decided I was going to make her beleive! We prepared for Christmas Eve by setting out the cookies and the milk. We made a huge poster for our front door. It expained to Santa that he should use the front door, because we had a fire going in the fireplace. We were all sitting in the kitchen playing cards (me, my husband , my father in-law, brother in-law, and friend and the kids), when the jolly red guy comes through the front door! He is HO HO HO-ing and my 8 year old looks as if she is going to faint! She turns white and starts to tremble. Her eyes grow huge in amazement! My youngest (Brandon Dean), runs up and gives him a big hug, my three year old ( Kaitlynn) just smiles and laughs. He tells them how usually, they are sleeping when he arrives, so he just gives them a kiss on the cheek and says a little prayer over them. Then he comments on how much they have grown over this past year! He gives them each a gift, chats awhile, and then tells them if they go right to bed he will come back later. As I am tucking the kids into bed, Alyssa turns and says "Mom I never saw the real Santa before! I can't beleive he was here and I was awake!" I have to tell you, I would have paid any amount of money to experience that night! Thankfully the town mayor is cheaper. It was the best $20.00 I ever spent. I will upload photos for you all to enjoy! |

Well this is the first blog I have created so bear with me. I will start off with an introduction of myself. I am a happily married mother of three(2 girls 8, and 3 and 1 boy 20 months). We live in a small town where everyone knows who ya are and what your doing. We like this. It is nice to know exactly who your kids are hanging around and to know who your neighbors are. I have lived just about everywhere! My husband on the other hand has lived in this town his entire life. Our dream is to own and run a small farm. We are about two years away from making it happen. I cannot wait! MY FONDEST CHILDHOOD MEMORIES ARE OF THE ONES WE SPENT ON THE FARM. More than anything I want my children to experience this. The kids are already looking forward to raising cows, pigs, chickens, and horses! My oldest is always telling her friends "just wait till we get our farm, then we'll have some real fun!". We all love fishing, camping and anything else to do with the outdoors! Well gotta go for now will post again after dinner. |

Here is a picture of love at first sight!
We do not even share the same days off. Whenever I get blue about it, I just tell myself over and over again, that I only have to do this for two more years. Sometimes it works.
I just keep praying for the strength to get through the day!
