Home with all my heart | 3 entries, 7 comments | | A mother to three delightful little ones (6, 4 and 1), we find homeschooling so much fun. My husband, the steady one, myself, the independent one, and my gracious girl, stalwart boy, and playful baby all live in a little two bedroom house on a tiny plot of land in the middle of an urban jungle. We live simply, garden, stay home, read, enjoy digging holes in the small yard, and live so thankfully. Though I would love to own acres, keep livestock, eat our own produce, and see the stars at night, I have accepted God's wisdom in withholding those things. I am learning to sew, enjoying embroidery, and have eaten my first fruits from my first garden. The children have incredible attention spans with no media in their lives, and are able to create imaginary worlds in our living room day after day. We walk and ride our bike everywhere we can, and love on dad when he comes home from a hard day's work. We are hoping and praying for more children, and are grateful for the family we have now. Hopefully I will post more and get feedback and read your posts as well. Hoping to make friends and be encouraging and gain inspiration to live a simple life. |
