 A Plain Home | 8 entries, 41 comments | | My name is Lydia Heckert and I am the wife to my husband Adam. We were both raised in Old Order Amish homes in Lancaster County PA. Currently we live in Northern Indiana on our Dairy farm. We have no babies yet but are eager for that day. Although we were both raised Amish my husband moved from our Amish community after he was shunned by his family 3 years ago. It was then that he moved to this community and began his new life among the Amish community here. Over time we realized that our love was to great to be apart and he came back for me a year ago and I also left my home to join him here. Over the past year we have built our life together as husband and wife.
I have just had this computer for the past 4 months. I am excited by some of the new things that are a part of my new life, but for the most part we still live by our old Amish ways.
I think it will be fun to meet some English women and see how you all live your lives. |
