• Wednesday, September 19, 2007 - Testimony and Questions
| I've been a little "draggy" these last few days. I think it's my immune system fighting hard on my behalf and for that reason I can't praise God enough. This time last year I had NO immune system at all. The doctors couldn't figure out why. And I was so sick all the time. My husband felt called into the ministry and we knew if he left his job and joined the church, we would lose our insurance. It was a HUGE step of Faith! But we did it, and the Lord has been SO faithful. It's been a year now. A whole year, and NOONE has been sick. We've had no need to go to the Doctor, or hospital. We've had some sniffles here and there, but nothing that needed a prescription. And I know it is the Lord.
Also, we switched to whole foods at the beginning of this year. And I can tell such a huge difference. My blood sugar has been under control. My kids are healthier. (Actually the Doc said at the boys check-up last week that they were "Healthy as Horses"!!) And just on the outside, my skin is clearer, and my hair and nails are growing so fast. Even faster than when I was pregnant. And they are strong and healthy! I haven't had heartburn in a LONG time and I used to live on TUMS. There are so many little things that I have noticed that I could be listing them all day. But to me it's such a great testimony to just how the food you eat effects your health and well-being.
Has anyone tried the "Go Alkaline" fad that's goinng around. I seems everywhere I turn lately I hear about the health benifits or drinking alkaline water. I was just curious if anyone around here has tried it and can tell me whether or not it's actually worth it.
Also, I really like the whole ONCE A MONTH COOKING thing, although I think I would prefer a ONCE A WEEK method, but I can't find many WHOLE FOOD recipes for it. Is there a book or website that anyone knows about that they could share?
Well, I better go play "Go Fish" with my kids now. God Bless!! |
