• Friday, May 23, 2008 - Price of gas & electric

We recently found out that the cost of electricity is going up by 19.5% as of June 1st The cost of living is ridiculous!!! Our gas prices are high ... but not as high as other places. I say the best *cure* for these issues is to harvest wind power and use solar as a back up .... our area is very windy so that would be GREAT for us!!! We're checking in to the cost of these options. I'd love to NOT have to pay utility bills!!!

Do you know of any programs or resources for free windmills or solar panels? I have some links that I'll post as soon as I find them.

We are interested in wind power ourselfs.. Here in Maine Electric is very costly.. Say your light bill is 35.00 and then you have a delivery charge of 70.00 just to get it to you..

I was told that there is going to be rebates for windpower coming soon..

We have an out side wood furance and we just love it.. We have our own wood so that does help.. If you find out more about wind power please send me a message.. thanks..
