Good Morning Girls!
Imagine our surprise and delight when we woke up this morning to find that a cool front is moving through Kansas! While not cold by any means after the temperatures we've been having it certainly feels that way! The first order of the day was for the little ones to run out and start jumping on the trampoline. While the heat hasn't stopped them this summer, I'm sure didn't feel as good as good as this morning did. They must have jumped for an hour and when they came in they weren't the least bit red-faced!!!! What a change!
Ole Mom is enjoying it too! It was so nice to water the flowers around my water garden without rushing to get back in where it's cool. Actually it was wonderful just to spend my morning puttering around without being in any hurry. So, nice I even made sure the deck pool area was cleaned up for the day. (Something I've been neglecting because of the heat!) Oh girls, do you think this is The Lords way of telling me Fall/Winter is definitely around the corner???? I so needed this!!!!
Had I known today was going to be so nice I would definitely have put off a little project I did yesterday in the heat of the afternoon. Remember how I told you a couple of post ago I was thinking of redecorating my house? Well, I decided to start with the outside. A quick trip to my shop gave me some "new" things to work with. In a matter of minutes I had taken an old wooden press, primitive bench, two old tea-towels, an old wash tub and a bar of home-made primitive soap and a "Washing Station" was set up on my little front porch. I just love the look and it inspired me to move on to the inside of the house....As it starts coming together I'll share pictures.
 Just redoing my front porch has made me feel sooooo much better about things. It's time to come out of this "funk" and get started with life. Supper is going to be super easy tonight, (Roast, mashed potatoes & gravy, cucumbers & onions, corn and Brownies for dessert) so with the rest of the day mine, I'm off to do something fun.
