My Smoky Mtn. Homestead

OK, so I don't really have a Homestead.
But I have seven four chickens.
Does that count for something?

Firewood Anyone?

Posted in Photo Album

My BIL is in the landscaping business.  He decided to cut firewood and sell this winter to the chalet company he works for.  My back yard has been turned into a huge-mungous woodpile. I've never see so much wood in my life!  It doesn't look like there is an end in sight!

Looks like you are set for a while, oh maybe 5 years! :) I hope you have a wood stove or at least a real fireplace!

Now THAT is a lot of wood! At least you know you won't be cold if you have a wood stove or fire place to make use of some of it yourself. lol

Have a super Sunday! ~Robin

So is he selling all of that or do you get to use some? If he is selling all of that, why does he need a job? Around here, that could be alot of money stacked up there. lol!

Have a great day!

My Joe and the older boys have been cutting a great deal of firewood today. While he was looking at your photo with admiration he told my 13 yo "See son, that is what our wood pile should look like." My 13 yo replied, "You're going to make a grown boy faint!" He is such a hard worker and if his daddy told him to cut, split and stack that much firewood all by himself he would do it! It's a good thing his daddy was teasing him.
