this months happenings

Hi Every on.  how is everybody?  I'm good.  the last few months has been very...  exiting and lots of things to write about.  well to start out with my new horse Casey, after 4 dys of having him he impaled himself with a steck between his parrotneam and his thigh muscle. this stick was 14 inches long and is was sticking out of hom 6 inches!  we gave him 60 ccs of bantomine and got him into a friend trailer that could hold him still better and took him to Cornell and he was such a good boy.  he walked right onto one of those huge scales and then they took him into this royal blue standing stall that was bout 4feet wide and he walked right in without hesitation.  Then the trauma team shaved part of his neck and put in a cathader then they shaved part of his belly (he was not sadated at all!)  and they tool belly fluid to make sure he wasn't getting feces and it was crystal clear!:-)  and they took loads of pix! lol  then they took him to standing surgery and within an hour and a half they had the stick completly out and scraped.  My dad asked if he could keep the stick  I told him he had to burn it and he said "no, I'm going to frame it!"  but he hasn't yet ;-)  Casey recovered from surgery fine and now it's all healed up with a little scar and he's still running around and acts like the 3 yr. ol that he is and thank God that the stick went right between his bowl and his thigh muscle because if it hadn't he's iether be dead, or perminantly lame.  (Casey's fiasco was in April)  and then my vet came last month to vaccinte all of my horses and I pulled REtro's fly mask off and he had a corinary abrasian!   the vet actually died his eye wich she actyally put this die in his eye and it turne green where the scratch was and it was right in the middle so she gave this stuff to put in his eye 3 times a day and it's pretty much all healed.  then we went camping at out aunt's camp and we had an awesome yim!! for the first two days there were about 13 kids and then on the last day (3rd day) there were 22 kids between 5 moms!  but we were ll busy.  the camp was a huge lake, we tubed,  swam to this floating fock wich had a diving board and  huge twisty slide, we kyaked, conooed,  swam until our shoulders hurt and then we were all so tired by the time our heads hit the pillow we were sleep!  but on the second day while we were tubing my friend Rachael and I flipped over and she did a bellyflop and I did 2 summersaults.  then we went to long island to see my mom's family and to play t the beach. it was so fun!! then yesterday i was leading Casey to the round pen and he saw the dogs playing and it happened so fast I didn't have time to move over 'cause I saw it in the coner of my eye. he somehow pushed me with his head when he was shaking it and he struck me with his hoof and imagine this... right in then back of my neck!!!  how he did is unknown because it didn't look lilke he reared up but he probably did to get up that high because i'm 5 ft. 7 , but his legs are really long.  but luckilt I didn't get hurt. all I felt was his hoof toucking me in the back of my neck.  Jesus ws really looking out for me because he could've brolen my neck!  and then tody, my sister was standning on the porch and somehow got cought up in the cable that on of our neightbor's dogs were tied on (we're watching him for my friend becuse they're going camping.)  and Susanna who is 3 fell of the porch and started screaming bloody murder.  I was down at the horse pasture at the bottom of my friveway (a really really long friveway wich is probably almost a quarter of  mile long)  She's fallen of the porch, trampoline, of of alot of things and she always cries so I didn't think anything of it I wasn't thinking apparently, but my mom was in the house anyway.  so when I came in the house feom mucking stalls, she was on the couch and her face was all puffy from crying ( mom had told me what happened) so I sat fownnext to her and said, " are u o.k. kido? "  and she started crying again and saying that dog is never coming back here again, he nocked me off the porch!  And she wouldn't move her arm.  so my mom called my dad and told him wht happened. he was out mowing a field with his tractor.  he said that he'd be bck in a couple of hours and if she wasn't feeling better by then then he would take her to the ER.  so when he got home, she didn't want to walk, she didn't want to talk, she didn't want to do anything. she didn't ev3en want to go to the hospital.  but my dad took her anyway.so it turns out that she has a broken collar bone!  and nd my dad just got home so I have to get off. welkl G2G

Horse Fun

Hi everybody!

   is everybody exited about Spring??  i sure am!!!  My dad is almost done with the stalls and we'll probably be able to get Kacey sometime this week, if not, next week for sure!  I can't remember if I told you when it happened before, but right when winter started Retro pulled his Stifle muscle and he was layed up all winter and we had just started getting him in shape (and making progress) and he just hurt himself again.  but now we're running cold water ove his stifle and putting liniment on it and I guess when horses get stifle problems you should actually ride them more (walking only)  I ride him bareback on long trail rides.  :-)  so I guess the only part about your horse having an injury is you get to spend more time with them.   well I have to go.

Palomino!!!

Guess whay everyone!  I'm getting a 3 year old Palomino!!!!  his name is Kacey.  he's so sweet and gentle. I have to train him myseld and with some help of a friend!  This will give me a chance of trying some join-up stuff from a Monty Roberts book I'm reading. (uncase any of you don't know who he is, he's a natural horsemanship trainer.)  the process is ypu bring him in a round pen and fix your eye on theirs and square your body towards them and they'll start running around the pen.  once they fix their ear toward you look down at their shoulder and that'll make them trot. evntually he'll star licking and chewing and sten start running with his head low to the ground and what they're saying is , I'm ready to trust you I'm ready to come back into the heard.  Then you turn your back to him and they'll come right up to you and follow you around.  and you wonder how the horse would somehow already know this. :-)  out in the wild some people think the stallion is in charge.  he's not he is the protector.  there is a lead mare and she is in charge.  she also is the dicipliner, when a young colt is misbehaving she'll fix her eyes in it and drive it out of the herd.  and when the colt starts doing the licking and chewinf anf the head to he ground thing anf when the mare thinks the colt should come back in she'll turn her back to it.  but then Monty Roberts can train a horse to take a saddle and rider and to trust him a half hour forty minutes!  I'll probably drag it out for a couple months.  I'm gonna show him in halter class this year though.  and I was doing hippology and I'll tell you what tha is because pretty much everybody I say I did that they say huh?  it learning about horses. and my team took first place!  and then induvudyally I got first too!!  oh and I was doing a puiblic presentation and made it all the way to district for my first year and me and my friend were foing a team presentation.  and we got first place!!!  well G2G

Hi everyone!!!  how r u??  Guess what!!  My mom's having a girl!!  I can't wait!!  I didn't really care what we had though as long as it's healthy.   My mom is really picky about names though.  my friends at the barn and i came up with a bunch of names and she didn't like them and then my girls' group and i came up w/ a whole notepad and a half pieces of paper of names and she didn't like any of those iether!!  My dad and i like the name cheyanne, allysa, and Rabecca.  well maybe you could give me ideas on names!:-)  well G2G

Working at the horse barn

hi Everyone!!

    guess what!  I'm working @ a horse barn!!  I'm working in exchange for lessons.  I usually ride a 12 yr. old Appaloosa mare names "Royal"  or a cute little chestnut mare "Stella"  both of them are very well behaved and very fun to ride!!  They board horses too and being my goofy self am attraced to the horses with attiude promblems like "Arbonne" a spotted draft mare who's 4 and will kick if you don't watch out and mind you she has HUGE feet and will mob you if you have treats in your pocket!  And "kid rock" a gelding that has 0.0 manners.  and then there's "Mr. B."  or "Blaze"  He is a good lookin' animal!  he's jet black with a white sockon his back leg with a whit foot and a big blaze down his face.  He's gorgouse!!  but he has problems with his stride like... he has a very short strided trot so if you sit on his back he'll jump up so his 'cause his back hurts.  But other then that he is an awesome boy!! well G2G

Hello!!

Hi Everyone!!!  i hope everyone had a great christmas!!!!!!  i sure did.  i'm doing a hippology class with 4-H!  it's really fun, but they tech evolution instead of creation- it just doesn't make any sence to me.  But my hippology teacher Jackie is so sweet!! and all the kids r really nice too. I mean we only did evolution for the first half the class and then we did the breed was fun so atliest it isn't all evelutiopn!  But i just memorize this stuff for the quizz bowl wich is the turnament @ the end.  well i hope you all had a GREAT christmas.  G2G  TTYL HANNAH

Christmas

Hi Everyone!!

  Sorry i haven't written in a while.  I have been EXTREMLY busy with Christmas coming.  My mother and I made Chocolate crinkle cookies.  i'll post the recipe later.  but they are vey good.  We just got our christmas tree a couple of days ago and i think we might decorate it today.  We threaded popcorn strings today and they were very very fun!  it took awhile and by the time we were on bothe legs from my knee down was asleep.lol  But they're pretty.  has anybody heard of www.Clubpenguin.com?  i have my own penguin and her name is Blueangel872.  So if any of you guys have one we could play together on there!  that would be really fun.  i am FINALLY 12!!!  I don't feel any diferant though.lol  I got 2 bottles of Spa gell and 4 pairs of earings.  well g2g  Hannah

Hello Everyone!!!!

Hi everybody,

  i hope all is well.  is evryone pumped up about thanksgiving??  I am.  We're going to my aunt and uncle along with alot of other relatives.  Guess what!!!  You know our seeing-eye dog puppy, Piper?  Well, he had to go to get trained and my parents let me get a new puppy!! her name is Abbie,  she is so cute and she has about 4000 times more energy then piper. She was really easy the first day, but now she is a very hiper and exited puppy!  Piper disliked playing in water alot, but Abbie get's in her water dish and makes a title-wave!!lol  she seems to like it alot, but I end up cleaning it up.  We've had her for nearly a week and I'd get really mad and angry, but then i read a horse book, and it was about a young horse wisperer, and it was about instead of getting mad at her think of the things she's good at.  Like Abbie is good at making title-waves in the kitchen!lol  (this book can relate to anything)  We got a new k-board, because Abbie got under the computer desk and chewed the cord coming from the k-board to the computer.  My mom was NOT to happy.   Here is a pic of Abbie and my brother:

Hello everyone!!!

How is everyone??  my family is good,  Guess what, i had a cake decorating wiht my 4-H group and it was awesome!!!  i made a cupcake elmo cake, and a birthday cake.  (they had us do those ones.) My 4-H leader's grandson said I sould decorate cakes when I get older. lol  Has any of you guys heard of the book series Animal Inn??  I'm reading the 11th book and it's really good so far,  or Winnie the horsewisperer?  I just got the first two books.  I rode Retro with jonah on bonnie today.  I might go to one of my friend's house today.  She has to baby foals! they'e sooooooooooooo cute!!!  Piper, our seeing eye dog puppy leaves for his training friday, But my parents are talking about letting me get another one for me to train!! Since my mom's due date is in May, she doesn't want any part of it!lol  I've got a 4-H meeting tonight!  Well G2G

Sorry!!

Hi everyone.

Sorry i haven't written in awhile.  the weeks have just gone by so fast!!  one of my 4-H friends came over alot.  She spent the night this past week.  My mom hs her first doctor's appointment this Thursday.  She and my dad don't know if they're going to find out what it is though.(personaly, i really want to find out what it is.)  My parents like the name Caleb.  I like the name Jake.  and for a girl my dad and I like Rebekah(that's the bible way of spelling it.)  I went to a play day at the 4-H fair grounds with my 4-H group, I brought Retro, he was such a good boy!  axcept a week after we the play day was over we found out he had pulled a muscle while doing barrels   but it was fun anyway!  here are some pics:

Hello everyone!!!  We're going to a church party today around noon, they'e going to have an old-fashioned cider press, they're is going to be a pie contest, and homemade donuts!!  YUM!!!  and then this evening my dad's going to drive tractor-trailer (his second job) and then again tomorrow evening.   Susanna's birthday is this Monday.(she's going to be 3 years old.)  acouple weeks ago we went to Tractor supply company and theres a big model horse isle there and I asked susanna what she liked for her birthday and since she doesn't realy know what that is yet, she pretty much picked all of it!! lol  well I've get to go.

Hello Everyone!!

Hello Everyone!!  Sorry I haven't written in awhile.   The little boy you all have been praying for went to live with Jesus  But he's in a better place.  His parents were upset and still are.  We went there a few times in the last week he's been dead, and last night was the best his parents have been.  Mr. Ken said that we could all go dirtbiking with him and his other kids.    I guess I'm riding a 150 bike.  their now youngest son Coner (he's 4 years old.)  He's got training wheels on his Dirtbike!! lol   isn't that funny??  I have a feeling I'm going to be a total disaster on the dirtbike, but I drive a  big 4-wheeler, so maybe I'll be ok.    TTYL

Hi Guys!

Hi everyone!!   Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.  I have a HUGE Prayer request.  One of the families we know has a baby boy at the age of 2, and all of a sudden in a time 4 days he had a tumor the size of a watermelon.  It's actually Neuroblastoma.  For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a very bad, very fast spreading cancer.   He's been in the hospital for a week and a half.  But they brought him home today, because they think he's going to die today and they want him to die without tubes and want him to die at home with the family and not with strangers. My dad called up her husband, Ken to tell him if we can help with anything or with the other 4 kids to call us!!  But It's going to be hard on especialy Miss Stacie.  I'm crying as I'm writing this, We've been praying very hard.  and we don't want to say he's going to die today because God could still perform a miracle, but that doesn't look like that's his will.   So can you guys please pray for them??  They need it now and in the future.  

This weekend m friend Hannah and her family are coming.  She's bringing a few music Cd's: Jonas Brothers, I love their band!!  Highschool musical 2 and Disney remix.  And we're going to hangout.

On Saterday, I'm going to a babysitter's course from 9:00 to 4:00.  after that we're going to a wedding, 

on Friday my cowboy boots are coming that my Grandpa ordered before he died. 

Thursday we're just doing school.   

Tomorrow we're doing nothing but school

today we're just doing a little bit of school.  and my brother and I are going to go for a trail ride with Retro and Slugger.

this past weekend I went to highland forest for 3 days.  and on the second day, Bonnie threw a shoe, so we brought her home and brought Slugger and we chanced Retro, because he dosen't like other horses and it turns out he behaved better then Slugger, but befor we brought him there, he was a maniak, he knew somthin' was going on, but the horse that came out of the trailer was a totaly differant horse then the one that went on.lol  So the 4-H club is doing mock show and we're going to bring Retro.  I can't wait!!

Ok everyone, get ready for some BIG BIG BIG news!......  My mom is pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How awsome is that????  and my mom thinks the baby started around the same time my Grandpa died, so my mom has a feeling it's going to be a boy, (my brother and I want a boy too)  So if it's a boy, his middle name is going to be Daniell.  I  like the name Mathew and we could call him Matt for short but my mom's not sure is she likes that name.  I have noooooooo idea for a girl.  my Dad likes the name Rabeca.  how can you guys think of some too?  I know I'm thinking waaaaaaaaaay ahead, but hey I'm sooooooooo exited!!!!!!!   Boy or girl.  We did a parade for 4-H, it was so fun!!!!  Even though my brother isn't a part of it yet, the leader asked if Jonah wanted to hold one of the banners.  We placed 1st!!  Here is a pic:

Things going on.

Hi everyone.

I went to a 4-H meeting yesterday, we talked about a camping trip that we're going on next weekend, the 1890 parade, and who's going to run for club presadent, vice presadent and the secratary.  I'm halping with the club laws.  Bad news.  One of my horses, Slugger chocked on beet pulp because I didn't soak it long enough.  So I need to start soaking it over night.  We had to masage his esaghagas for 2 1/2 hours.  That didn't work, so I got this fabulas idea,   I took the mare out of the pasture, (we have 2 gelding and 1 mare.)  Both , Slugger and Retro  started winnying like crazy, Slugger winnyed so hard that he unchocked himself!  when he started ckocking, snot started coming out of hi nose and he started wipping his nose on me.  Oh, well.  He's fine now. few!!  WE got three bottle calves for meat a few days ago and they are soooooooooo cute.  heres a pic:

This a pic. of me feeding Dude.  There two others called, Snip, and Wolf, (wolf has a wolf shaped head marking on his forhead.  I wanted to call him boomerang,  because it lokks kinda' like a boomerang too.  Snips the smallest. I call him snippy sometimes too, and Susanna can't say snippy so she says sniffy.lol

hi ya'll

Hi evryone!  Gues what!!  Bonnie finally has shoes!  but they're not the nail on ones.   They're the ones where you put the shoe on the horses foot, but instead of nailing it on you take this bandage thing and dip it in cold water and then you wrap it oaround the shoe and the hoof, so it doesn't ware onto the hoof it just wares to the shoe.  and then our farrier puts this squishy stuff in the wrap so she has some pad stuff in there.  and my friend Danielle was there.  not missarabian07 Danielle from 4-h, she spent the night and we went trailriding on the hottest days I think we had all summer, so when we were done giving the horses baths we were in the pool for like and hour and a half!!  she's really fun to hang out with.  she goes to her grandparent house three times a week and on the weekends cause her parents have to work and she has 7 horses and a huge barn and all that.  I'm going to here house for trailride becaus she has 300 acres of trails!!  is that cool or what??!  she live like 5 mins. from my house!!  well g2g

Hi everyone.

sorry I haven't written in awhile.  My grandpa just died.  I was at his funerole and my grandma's house for 2 days.  can you guys pray for my grandma, she hasn't cried very much, but I know she's upset.  That 4-H fun ride went really well. Bonnie was an angel "ALMOST" the whole time.  When we  first got there she was shaking like a leaf and sweating like crazy, we walked here around for a bit and she was fine.  I loooove it when she behaves for me.  heres and pic. of me and her:

she was really well behaved.  My friend Erica came over yesterday and we were kinda' bored so we went out to the barn and we got my jog cart down, cleaned it and took each other and her sister and my sister for rides, heres a pic.:

Hey guys!

Guess what!!  Tonught I have the fun fair with Bonnie!  My dad just borrowed a realy nice trailer from one of his friends and when he went he took me with him and they have a realy nice barn and they have really nice horses and they even have boarding horses there. one of the horses there was a pony and I fell in love with! he was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!  They have a huge indoor arena and dad's friend the one he borrowed the trailer from said that I could go help them becasue there are only two people working ther {his doughters} and one of them are leaving for college.  Bonnie doesn't like the trailer so we're going to put slugger in the trsiler firtst since he used to go into the trailer all the time and then put Bonnie on because she'll follow him anywhere. then take slugger out and bring her to the fun fair and do our thing. mom's afraid she'll flip out but I don't think she will ,I know she'll het fired up though. well I have to make cookies for tonight

Hello everyone!!

Guess what!  I started 4-H yesterday!!!  It was soooo fun. Next week we're doing a fun ride, we go down to the 4-H ring and we just play games on horseback and I get evaluated!  Next month theres going to be a trip to Highland Forest to go trailriding and over-night but I'm not going to stay over night though.  And then on Sept. 22 MissArabian07 and I are going to do a baby-sitting course at the red cross, it goes from 9:00 to 4:00!  That's 7 hours!!  My vet and his wife are coming to do a cogins test on Bonnie and Retro, because The 4-h leader named, Shavon and I are going to work with retro and he fobia of other horses. He's got some problem with other horses thet he just acts agressive towards them so shavon is going to bring her horse Angel and we're going to get hem trained!!  I'm sooo exited!

hey guys!

Hey everyone!

sorry I haven't written in awhile!  I was in Maine.  It was sooooo fun!  My friend Tory was there.  My brother and I made friends with Nathan and Justin.  It's funny because Nathan is 11 and 1 month younger than I am and Justin is 9 just like Jonah and is 1 month older than he is.  We swam in the lake alot, we got MAGER sunburn!!  We would take our kayak and sink it and we would sit on it and it would roll all over the place and then we would prop it up on the bank upside down and we would slide down it into the water, iy was sooooo fun?!!!!!!! I'll post some pics of it later.  We ( me and Tory) would go on bike rides all over the place, it was really funny because one day we went tricker-treating ( they have certain weekends for certain crafts.)  I dressed Tory up as a zomby and I went tricker-treating for our friend Joey who is our age  because he had to go do something at the reck hall.  ( he was a lifeguard.) next year Tory might come to our house for a week or something like that! it's gonna be soo fun!  Ashley's moving next week!  It's not gonna be as much fun without her on the "hill"!  I'll have to drive forty minutes to do anything with her!  Well, it's better then she moving to another state or something she might be moving back next year though and she's moving to her aunt's house so Ashley can bring her horses with her.  Well g2g.
