For Your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in Your truth.

Psalm 26:3

Ever...

A.) At all times; always.

B.) At any time.

Before...

A.) In front; ahead.

B.) In the past; earlier.

C.) In prospect for; awaiting.

D.) In the presence of.

Praise be to the Lord, for He showed His wonderful love to me when I was in a beseiged city.

Psalm 31:21

Showed...

A.) To cause or allow to be seen or viewed; make visible.

B.) To manifest, reveal.

Wonderful...

A.) Astonishing.

B.) Excellent.

Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies.

Psalm 36:5

Reaches...

A.) To stretch out or put forth; extend.

B.) To touch or grasp by stretching out or extending.

By day the Lord directs His love, at night His song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life.

Psalm 42:8

Directs...

A.) To take charge of with authority; control.

B.) To move or guide toward a goal.

C.) To show the way to.

Studying God's Love, part 3

He brings the clouds to punish men, or to water His earth and show His love.

Job 37:13

Shows...

A.) To cause or allow to be seen or viewed; make visible.

B.) To manifest, reveal.

Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of Your unfailing love.

Psalm 6:4

But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your salvation.

Psalm 13:5

Unfailing...

A.) Inexhaustible.

B.) Constant.

Show the wonder of Your great love, You who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes.

Psalm 17:7

Great...

A.) Extremely large in size.

B.) Large in quantity or number.

C.) Extensive in time or distance.

D.) Of outstanding significance or importance.

E.) Chief or principal.

F.) Powerful.

G.) Grand.

H.) Enthusiastic.

Remember, O Lord, Your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.

Psalm 25:6

Old...

Having existed for a long time.

Studying God's Love, part 2

In accordance with Your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as You have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.

Numbers 14:19

Great..

A.) Extremely large in size.

B.) Large in quantity or number.

C.) Extensive in time or distance.

D.) Of outstanding significance or importance.

E.) Chief or principal.

F.) Powerful.

G.) Grand.

H.) Enthusiastic.

Wow - God's love for me is extremely large in size, large in quantity, goes for all time, goes the distance, is significant and important, is chief and principal, is powerful, is grand, and is enthusiastic.

Know therefore that the Lord Your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.

Deuteronomy 7:9

If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep His covenant of love with you, as He swore to your forefathers.  He will lvoe you and bless you and increase your numbers.  He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land - your grain, new wine and oil - the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that He swore to your forefathers to give to you.

Deuteronomy 7:12-13

Covenant..

A binding agreement.

God made a binding agreement to love me.  He will never stop loving me!

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34

Endures..

A.) To carry on through, despite hardships.

B.) To bear with tolerance.

C.) To continue in existence, to last.

D.) To suffer patiently without yielding.

Forever..

For everlasting time, eternally.

God's love for me lasts no matter what hardships I bring into the relationship, no matter how much I goof up, no matter what pain or sadness I bring into the relationship through my actions or behavior.

Studying God's Love, part 1

I'm finally sitting myself down to do a study on God's Love.  Just what does it mean that God loves me? - I need to remind myself.

In Your unfailing love You will lead the people You have redeemed.  In Your strength You will guide them to Your holy dwelling.

Exodus 15:13

Love..

A.) An intense affection for another person.

B.) The deep affection, tenderness, and concern felt for a person with whom one has or wishes to have a relationship.

C.) An intense emotional attachment.

Unfailing..

A.) Inexhaustible.

B.) Constant.

God has an intense affection for me, a tenderness for me, a concern for me, and an intense emotional attachment to me.  He wishes to have a relationship with me!  His love is inexhaustible and constant.

And He passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin."

Exodus 34:6-7a

The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion.

Numbers 14:18

Abounding..

To be great in number or amount.

Maintaining..

A.) To continue or carry on.

B.) To provide for.

C.) To defend, as against danger or attack.

D.) To declare to be true.

God's love for me is great in amount.  His love for me carries on.  In His love he provides for me and defends me.  He declares His love for me.
