I need it, I want it, I have to have it!

So I'm sitting here minding my own business nursing ds2 and I have this absolutely brilliant idea to turn on the tv.  I scroll through the program guide and notice that QVC has quite a few scrapbooking/cardmaking/stamping shows on today.  Okay, I fall for it.  I click the channel numbers on the remote and up pops a die cut show.  I watch for a bit, but am just not very interested in what they're showing.  I flip to Green Acres instead.   Unfortunately it ends and back to QVC I go.  A new show comes on and what do they tempt me with?  These lovely ink daubers.  Darn them!  I need them, I want them, I have to have them!  "Get me the phone!" I tell ds1.  He meanders aimlessly down the hall in search of the phone all the while I'm yelling "Hurry!". LOL   In his slowness, ds1 actually saves me a bit of money as the holiday color selection sells out before he presents me with the phone.  Oh well.  I did get the metallic selection though.

Now in my defense, I do scrapbook and make cards.  I just haven't worked on either in a very long time.  I like to blame it on the remodeling going on around the old homestead.  I won't have that excuse any longer, however, as there is light at the end of the tunnel with the majority of the house and I can once again reclaim one end of the dining room table for such pursuits as scrapbooking and homemade cards.  I have quite a few stamps I purchased from a yard sale, plus a couple of sets I purchased on closeout from Stampin' Up, and a set dh and ds1 gifted me with for Christmas.  I have to confess that all these were not purchased recently - it was actually at least 3 years ago (or more).  I just have never gotten around to buying ink pads.  (Yes, I'll go hide under a rock now.)

I don't have the time to run from scrapbook store to scrapbook store - or JoAnn or Michael's for that matter - in search of supplies so QVC is actually a really cool thing in that respect.  With how far we live from those stores now and current gas prices, it actually makes it an even better deal for me as these will be delivered right to my door or mailbox, depending on how they're shipped.  I'm actually getting a little excited at the thought of sitting down and using them.  Uh-oh........ I'd better keep the tv off that channel for the rest of the day!

I know what you mean! I have loads of scrapbook stuff - and only a little time to unpack it all & work on it - but it's oh, so satisfying when you do, right? And it's so cool to collect stickers and paper and scissors and die cuts and.. and.... well, you know. Fall is perfect for crafts, and it's just around the corner! -Chris

You sound like me. I havent scrapbooked in about a year now. I have something wrong with my neck and it starts to hurt really bad if I sit for longer than a half hour. Im not sure when I will do it again, BUT I just keep picking things up. Wedding stuff for my daughters wedding, which has not even been set with a date. Everything that i see in junk shops or thats on sale. I have soo much stuff and no time to do it in. Maybe one day tho.
Take care
Kitty

Oh, how I wish we lived near each other! We could share our stashs and work on things together!
