I just got back from the dr's a little bit ago and I am just in awe of God's greatness.. He came in and said well the good news is you do not need an ortho surgeon.. I was like woohoo.. He said you broke your small bone in your leg and it is not a weight bearing bone so you do not have to have the mobilizer unless it just hurts and needs to be mobilized.. He also said it was perfectly aligned and that I don't have to come back for 4 weeks for more e-rays to make sure all is ok.. If I need to see him before then to call...

I am so very thankful.. The wreck could have been so much worse and more people could have been hurt or worse... I was laid up for a week and I am still sore and stiff, but God is so good and I am so very thanful...

Please join me in thanking God above for His hands of protection on my kids and I and for making my injuries very minor..

First off I want to say Thank you Jesus that it was only as bad as it was, because in all reality it should have been so much worse than it was. Here are just a few blessings from the top of my head.....

1. Jordin my 15 year old with a permit was not driving

2. I did not have all my kids with me

3 My kids were not hurt

4. My injuries could have been so much worse than they were

5. It did not rain till they got me loaded in the ambulance.

6. I had lost my glasses in the accident and we found them under where the car was fully in tact covered with mud, but fitting me better than ever.

7. I was able to walk away from the car even with a broken leg..

I know that there are many more blessings from the night..

We had just dropped Jacob and my friend Steph off at her moms to pick up her car and were headed to Jill's ballgame and we were t-boned on my side before we got to the game. I am pretty sure that the guy who hit us had been drinking, but he is a big wig in the county where we were hit at and always gets off things.. THe kids and I got out and I knew from the start the only thing that was hurt was my leg.

He never slowed down before he hit us and they did not want to help us either and did want us to call 911 and were irritated when my son did..

So I got out of there with a broken left leg and 7 stitches in my chin.. PLease pray for me as I do not do good sitting still and resting.. I have to be up doing something, but walking with crutches takes way to much effort.. LOL

Anyway it was quite a ride and I am quite sore, but thank you Jesus my kids were not hurt....

Well for me it means a washer and dryer.. I know that some who read this post will find the humor in it and there are other like maybe my mother hen who will not see it quite as funny..

You see I have not had a washer and dryer at my house so I have been using mom and dad's. The other night I went and did a load of laundry and my dad said lock the door when you leave.. I said ok sure.. Well when we got ready to leave the key was not there so I called dad and said.. "I did not lock the door the key was not there.." He said well ok.. Fast forward a couple of hours.. Dad was calling me and I was like what and he said the next tiem you leave don't lock the door handle lock.. Well in all the let's go's and get in the car's the lock on the door handle got hit and so I apparently left him and Jordin locked out.. No yeah it was a bit of a chore, but they were able to get in....

Ok are you still with me here?? Fastforward to Thursday night when a tired momma hen comes home from a long week of work with a busy weekend planned to find out that the door knob on the door she always uses is locked.. This translate to one hacked off momma hen.. I mean madder than if she had been a wet old hen.... So of course although she laughed at dad getting locked out it was not near as funny when it happened to her.. No let me say here that everyone knows that you can not use that door while she is gone as she is the only key holder so how the knob got locked is beyond me, but I took the rap for it.. So now imagine that you come home after being gone for a week and you are locked out, you can't find your enevelopes and some of your 40 gazzilion ink pens are gone.. Well you guessed it now she is madder than 2 old wet hens and my ear is on fire from nice loving please leave my crap alone phone call said mad momma hen made to me.. Now I really have no idea what happend to her pens or the envelopes and yes one of my little ones could have been the culprits of this problem and the ramifications that have ensued..

Now let me tell you that if you add up the being locked out, the missing pens and envelopes you will see why my mother found a used washer and dryer bought it for me and the kids so that in her words "STAY AWAY FROM MY HOUSE" I know that she likes to have us around, but not while she is away..

So let me just say MOMMY I LOVE YOU.. I am sorry that you got locked out and that your pens and enevelopes are missing. I love you and want to take this time to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE WASHER AND DRYER..  I told you I would write a post or a BIG Splash as you called it on my blog... So thank you and I love you mommy.. Your the best..

A couple of weeks ago we were driving down a country road and my 8 year old son Jacob said as we passed a family who all the kids had their own four-wheelers.. " Wow mom they must be rich!" I said, " what makes you say that?" He said "mom they all even the kids have four wheelers!!! I wish we were rich!!" I then said " Well Jacob hon would you like mommy to go to work right now and be gone and make a Tiny amount more money they we get right now or be at home with ya'll doing what we can and having fun together?" Jacob's reply kinda suprised me in some ways, but never the less he said to me.. "Mom I want you to be at home with us kids. I miss you when you are not home and we have fun." That to me was an answer and a blessing all wrapped up in one.. My kids are so glad I am home when they are and that we are able to spend so much time together that well if I happen to have something quick to do they get upset.. Anyway all the kids then agreeed that they wanted me home with them.. It melted my heart and made me feel like I was doing a good job.. I know that I am a good mother to my kids and they must think so as well.. WOOHOO..

Good Morning everyone.. How are you this fine day?? Iam doing amazing today.. I just got out of my first class.. I am about to head to my second and will be done around noon.. WOOHOO..

I am so excited about school.. I think it is boosting my self confidence.. Now ask me again in a few days when I get into all the work work and I might not be quite so happy.. LOL I have my schedule so that I have time to work on my homework and etc before the kids get home from school.....

You know it is always good to give and expect nothing in return and I have always been a giver even when I had nothing I would give and I gave because I like to give and see peoples reactions.. Well recently somethings happened and life got a little more complicated and to be honest I was just not sure how things were going to come together, however I knew they would and I just kept praying. I am telling you that God is so good and awesome..

First we needed a house and we found a house in the country with lots of room and a decent rent in the school district that we wanted to be in.. I tell you I had advertised and advertised. I was listening to our local trading post when I heard a guy talking about a house.. I grabbed the phone and called.. It is just a few miles from the farm I grew up on.. I feel like we are home in a round about way..:) It is a big house and the kids all get their own rooms..

Second we needed a couch or something and we were given a matching couch and love-seat that reclines on each end.

We needed a couple of dressers and a bed and we were given that, plus my sisters who both live close just went and bought some stuff as did my mom. We feel like the house is coming along well..

The kids grandma along with some people from our Church family bought the kids school supplies.

We were given a gas card to help with gas and just so many more things... You know I have not ever been one to ask for help and probably would have just struggled to make it all work out, but God blessed my children and I way beyond what we could ever have dreamed of.. I am still in awe over it all.. God Is so Good... Thank You God for all the blessings You have given us already and those to come.. Let us not grow to tired , weary or busy to praise You..

My 8 year old said to me after the gas card and etc that he thought this was the best thing that had ever happened to us moving when and where we did.. You know out of the mouth of a child comes the truth...

Hello there friends... How is everyone doing?? We are doing pretty darn good here.. The kids and I are moving to the country this week.. My kids have wanted to live in the country for a longtime and we have found a place to rent that is reasonable and in the school district that we wanted to be in..  The house is the biggest we have lived in I believe.. We will have at least 4 and possible 5 bedrooms, a large living room and kitchen only one bathroom, but that is ok with us as we have always just had one..:) It truly is the Hand of God that brought us to this place and is helping us to be able to get into it.. Through the help of some good friends and a wonderful Church family we have a place in the country..

I am also going to be attending college classes this fall and I am excited about that as well. I think that it is about time I went to college and so please don't ask me what I am going to be as I am not sure for sure yet although I have in my mind what I would like to be.. :)

The kids and I have been blessed with some unexpected gifts and I tell you I am in awe and overwhelmed (in a good way mind you) of all that is happening in my children and I's lives.. We have met some new and awesome Christian friends and a wonderful Church family..  It is nice to know that people care truly care that they don't just talk it, but they also walk it...

Thank You God for the awesome Church family, friends and extra special unexpected blessings You have blessed my children and I with. We are so thankful and grateful for everything...

Hi there.. Today I got a call from my friend Ann... I had not talked to her in awhile, but anyway.. I said how are you and she said fine, but kinda in shock.. Turns out she had been having some terrible tummy pain and is 16 weeks pregnant. She went to the dr today to be checked out and was expecting them to tell her she had lost the baby.. However the news she got instead is that they are expecting triplets... She said it looks like 2 of them will be identical and then other won't be, but wow how neat. God is so good.. I am so excited for her.. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.. the babies are not due till Christmas Eve.. Ann is a teacher and will need to kinda take it easy....

The kids are excited and so he Dave her hubby.. They already have 4 kids so this will make them 7... How exciting..  God Is Good....

Wow today was fun and exciting.. My friend Amy Jo, my 2 daughters, her son and I all decided to run to the town I used to live in to get my mail and then drive another 13 miles to a couple of stores we like to check out..

So on our way out of town I said "hey look it is so and so". Well my dear friend turns around and is looking so we just about mowed over a nice truck that had stopped to turn into McDonalds.. I screamed and we avoided the mowing over of the nice truck which in turn prevented us from getting mowed over from a car behind us..

So we proceeded out of town and to get my mail and on north.. We stopped at the first store and things might have looked a bit weird in the sky, but nothing horrid.. We went into the next store and came out and it was nasty looking. I said hey let's go to caseys and I will get us a drink.. Well when I came out they told me we were under a tornado warning in our hometown.. So us being cool and such headed back towards home.. We drove right into that there storm we's a havin and ended up pulling into a driveway of people we did not know and Amy Jo went to the door and we were invited in to take cover... Thank you Jesus.. 2 teen boys were home and let us in and offerd us towels because we came in soaking wet due to the pouring rain and hail. We stayed till the tv said it was all clear, we thanked the boys and their mom who had come home and were on our way...

We had a pretty eventful day we bout mowed over someone, then bout got blown away by a storm, but God blessed us and took care of us through it all.. God is GOOD.. Wanna have some fun come hang out with Amy Jo and I..

Last night was the Relay for Life here and my sister has a friend who has cancer. Her dad and sister have also had it, her dad passed away a year or 2 ago and Brandy has recently gotten the news that she had it. She has 2 daughters a 10 year old and I think her other one is one..

Anyway last night as a tribute and a way to make money for the relay my sister had decided to get her head shaved for a fundraiser.. I want to share a couple pictures of my sister with ya'll. I think it took a lot of courage to do this and I commend her for doing it..

She let the girl scouts that are in the troop with my neice and the little girl of Brandys take turns cutting her hair..

Anyway my sister and I do not always see eye to eye like very rarely, but I am proud of her for going through with this in support of her friend..

My 8 year old son saw her bald and said mom she is not my aunt or whatever anymore.. LOL I told him why she did it and they kids think it is cool now..

Ok gotta run for now we have ballgames tonight...

My kids have been gone with their dad since last friday afternoon. They are supposed to be with dad every other week during the summer. They are coming home tomorrow Thursday when their dad goes to work in the am.. I am excited.. I think we are going to try to camp out this weekend and just have a grand old time..  I am excited for them to come home.. I am sure that they are ready as well.. In fact I know they are my oldest daughter keeps sending me emails.. LOL

I am sure they had some fun while with their dad and stepmom, but nothing beats mommy.. My kids are mommies kids. I need to go to the grcoery to stock up for the week since they are going to be home again.. I didn't really need much for just little old me.. :) I am excited and can't wait for my babies to be home again safe and sound with mommy.. There goes all my peace and quiet for a while though.. Oh well I would rather have them here with me than all the quietness.. :)

Well I guess I am running out to my moms to take a friend swimming.. I am not going to swim, but Jordin and Nikki can swim.. That water is not near warm enough for me.. LOL

This morning was so very fun. My friend Amy Jo had a bad night last night and so she did not make it to the brunch another friend Tammy had to take her daughter to the dr, however My friends Tammy and Cara came up and we ate and ate and ate then we talked and talked then ate and ate some more.

While we were talking Cara said that her grandma or great grandma had lived next door a longtime ago and she was wondering how it was there now, so I called up my neighbor Shally and told her what was going on and so she called me back a few minutes later and we were able to go over so Cara could see the house years later.. It is a neat old house that has lots of character and needs some work which Shally and her hubby are doing bit by bit. Anyway it was neat and Shally sent Cara home with a box of things letters and such that had belonged to people in her family..

We did a devotion and just had some good food and fellowship and it was wonderful and I can't wait to do it again. I think next time we are going to have a tasting party and everyone can bring their fave snack food or something.. Anyway I just wanted to share what a great time we had and what a blessing it was to be able to have these girls in my house to talk to and fellowship with...

The sun is shining and it is beautiful out today.. We got up early and went to soccer games and then to wal-mart and hyvee to get some groceries and home.. I have to say how much I love shopping once a month.. I do a major shopping on the 4th or the 5th of every month and then only pick up milk and gresh fruits and veggies as needed. I love knowing that like today although it makes it a really long and tiring day it is all worth it to get my stuff done for the month. We have toilet paper, paper towels, soaps and I order my meds at the beginning of the month and wallah it is good.

I am having a brunch at my house next week with some friends and I am so excited. I am making egg and ham muffins, little smokies wrapped in bacon with brown sugar, mustard a bit of water.. Oh my these are wonderful, fruit and cinnamon rolls. This is so exciting for me..

Well I am going to rest for a bit as I am tired tired tired.. Have a wonderul afternoon, I might rest on the porch in the sun reading my book..

We ended up going to a mexican resturaunt in town and eating last night. It was pretty good. We talked, laughed and make sure we were all kinda on the same page concerning the kids and what we all need to do to make sure they have the best of both parents and have the morals and standards we all want for our children. We talked about taking them to church and all kinds of things..

My ex husband was a bit uncomfortable with it all, but did really well. Chris and i talked and I think that we will be able to get along just fine.

God is working and it is truly amazing to see what all is transpiring during all of this. I never thought that my ex hubby, new hubby and ex hubby's almost wife would ever sit down and talk and get along. I give all the praise to God Almighty for this.. Please keep us in your prayers. Please pray for my ex hubby and his almost wife as they get married on the 29th and travel for their honeymoon..

First off let me say that my ex husband and I were together for about 18 years. We met when I was 14 and got married when I was 20 and were married for almost 13 before our divorce was final. We had many rough patches and it was a struggle at times, but we stuck with it till a couple of years ago and then things changed......... Anyway I had always asked him to come to church with the kids and I am etc and it broke my heart to think that I was going to heaven and he might not.

Anyway we got divorced last March right before our 13th anniversary. He has been dating a girl and goes to church with her and things and I can see how much he has changed and that he is a better dad now and I think that he is a much better person and will be a great hubby for Chris. I have changed and I am a better person than I was and I take alot of blame for what happened between my hubby and I. Anyway he and Chris are getting married on the 29th of Feb.

My ex called and asked if my hubby and I would go to dinner tonight with he and his soon to be wife to talk and get to know one another and although I am a bit uncomfortable with this for a variety of reasons we have agreeed to go.. I think that it is odd and amazing all in one. God is good. He has opened doors that although Rodney and I are no longer married maybe with our new spouses and us joining the same team and backing up one another we can still give our kids everything and more that they need from us as parents.. I can see God forging a friendship here and that to me is an amazing blessing. God is Good..

Please pray for the situation. I wish Rodney and Chris all the best..

he really does take good care of me.. My heating element went out on my oven and I had a burner not working right and he had a new stove delieverd to us because he new I could not do with out my stove.. LOL Plus our toaster bit the dust the other day and he came home with a 4 slice toaster for us.. Woohoo...

A couple friends of mine and I went to see Laurie and Baby Issac.. Laurie was up and showering and seems to be doing much better.. She is still haveing some issuses, but they are getting better everyday.

We got to go back and see the baby and oh my he is tiny tiny, but adorable.. He is still doing pretty good. He has so much hair for being so early..

Anyway Laurie's situation was very very serious. She developed something called HELP syndrome it is very rare form of hypertension.. I will write more about what I know about this tomorrow..

Issac was born on January 2, 2008 around 10:30 pm weighing 3pounds and 9 ounces. He was 17 1/4 inches long and is on a vent however he is on room air and no oxygen at this time. Laurie is still having a rough time her blood pressure is lowering, however her platelets are still outta wack and her liver and kidney enzymes are still a bit off as well so she is still a very sick girl. Laurie has gotten to seen Issac a few times, but is not allowed to hold him yet and is expected to be in the NICU for 5-6weeks.

I thank you for your prayers and I know that Laurie and Maurice appreciate them as well. The 2 girls got to go down yesterday and see mom and dad and baby so i am sure that was a cheery spot for all.. Please keep praying and I will update you later on this...
