Wow I can't hardly believe it is Friday already.. :) I get out of classes at noon today... WOOHOO I have some laundry to do then I am going home to clean and finish putting away all my groceries I got yesterday.. I need to get the kids stuff packed up to go with their dad although he would not acall us back last night to let us know when he would be there to get the kids..

I am also going to get my hair cut and my eye brows waxed today.. I called my sister in law last night and was like HELP I need my hair cut.. LOL so I am supposed to go there this afternoon or evening and get it done.. I am so excited...

Today is grocery day.. WOOHOO.. I am so excited.. I am finally getting back on my menu plan and have my grocery list all made out.. I am so excited.. You just don't know how excited.. So I want to ask you to all who read this send me your fave reciepe for fall.... The kids and I love to make things together and so we are looking for new things to try out as well...

I am headed to the grocery when I get out of class at noon thirty so I can be done with our Once a Month BIG shopping trip and get home so the kids can help unload when they get off the bus right before homeowork......

Well anyway I am going to try to make one of the kids fave meals tonight for supper and I am sure that they are going to be really really happy and we are going to make a snack together after school as well..

My ex husband called me the other day and we were talking about kids and etc and all of a sudden he says well I have a question to ask of you and your not going to like it. My first response was is it for you or for her???

You see first let me say this. My kids stepmom I don't feel like is very nice to them alot of the time.. She says my 13 year daughter needs to be in special ed and she made her write the alphabet because she wasn't sure she knew it.. What.. I am sorry, but all of MY kids are A or B honor roll kids and if their teachers do not have a problem then what is yours?? She has never had kids of her own and I understand that, but you knew that he had 5 when you married him...

She tends to get upset with Rodney if he has the kids any extra time except his weekends.. Now our parenting plan states that he gets them every other weekend and then every Wednesday for a few hours plus anyother time he might want them that is agreable between the two of us, plue every other week during the summer.. Now Rodney has been getting them his weekends, but he only had them 2 full weeks in the summer because of the situation with her.

Anyway the kids are looking forward to their weekend this weekend and she tells Rodney that he needs to change weekends because she only has 2 days off this week and etc and that if he doesn't change then he and the kids have to stay somewehere else...

Now I normally am very easy going and would trade him in a heartbeat, but I am sick and tired of her trying to keep him from having his time with the kids.. My kids welcome the time with their dad when she is not around and want to go ahead and go with him this weekend..

So long story short.. I told him that the kids wanted to come with him this weekend and that I was not going to trade.. If it was something that he needed becasue of work or something then we would work it out, but hello she knew he had kids and that he needs to spend time with them.. My older kids are upset because they know that their relationship with dad is going down hill because of her and they want to go to their dad's this weekend..

So should I switch or let them go with their dad?? I know that she or my ex MIL will read this and make comments, but really this is about the kids and their relationship with their dad..

It has been raining most of the week now and so once again everything in North Missouri is wet and soggy again.. :) I am not complaining I am just stating a fact.. LOL Jordin's ballgame was called Tuesday due to the rain and it looks as if tonighs game will also be called off due to the rain... That is too bad, but we will make them up....

Well this morning in microbiology we had a quiz.. It was a practice test and it went ok.. I am telling you this class is tough.. We were talking before the class and the teacher is like a genius and we are all normal so when he talks sometimes we are like hello please speak in english.. LOL

I spoke with my ex husband last night and he said his dad will not get out of the hospital now till Saturday. The kids are worried about him and can't wait for him to get home so they can see him...

Jeremiah had a dream last night about his uncle that died last week. He got up this morning talking about it saying how he had a dream about uncle Robery and that he had gotten shot, but it was just his arm that got it and so he was in a cast, but he got to come back home and so did Lizzy.. We talked about it and he understands and is ok with things, but please keep the little guy in your prayers.. I know it has to be hard to know that your uncle is gone and not coming back..

Well I better get going for now.. I have some labs to do on the computer and some videos to watch as well..

How is everyone doing?? We are doing pretty good here.. It has been raining again here so everything is muddy and you have to almost fight to get a parking place at the college..

My classes are going great and I am super excited.. I must say though that my microbiology class is going to be a real run for the money..

The kids are doing good and enjoying school and life is settling down some. Now that the funerals and such are over, however their grandfather had a little accident and is in the hospital till at least tomorrow and possibly longer.. He flipped his 4-wheeler on Saturday night and broke his collar bone, some ribs and punctured a lung.. He was moved out of ICU and put in a private room and is doing better the kids dad said yesterday.. PLease keep Jay in your prayers as he heals....

Good Morning everyone.. How are you this fine day?? Iam doing amazing today.. I just got out of my first class.. I am about to head to my second and will be done around noon.. WOOHOO..

I am so excited about school.. I think it is boosting my self confidence.. Now ask me again in a few days when I get into all the work work and I might not be quite so happy.. LOL I have my schedule so that I have time to work on my homework and etc before the kids get home from school.....

My ex-husbands brother shot and killed his 3 year old daughter and himself sometime early Saturday morning.. My kids were with their dad this weekend when he found out.. Rodney had to go and tell his mom who lost Rodney's younger brother in a tractor accident like 30 years ago... She has some mental problems as well. Bonnie (rod's mom) was also one who babysat Elizabeth much of the time...

Rodney is the only Newton kid left and he is taking it pretty hard. PLease pray for Rodney, Bonnie, Jay his dad, my kids and the rest of the family as they deal with this tragic loss..

Robert lost his wife; Elizabeth's mom in 2006 due to Cancer, they had not been married long and Elizabeth was just little.. Debbie was his real first love and so he has had a rough couple years.. Please pray for Debbies mom and Debbis's 3 daughters.. The youngest of the 3 oldest was adopted by Robert after Debbies Death and she was the one who found them. She is a senior in high school this year...

Funerals are Thursday Morning.. Lizzie will be open, but Roberts will not.

Talking about new chapters in life and such we just started yet another today.. My oldest child Jordin McKenzie just passed his drivers permit test.. YICKS.. He has driven around the farm forever, but now as long as he is with his grandparents or I he is legal on the highway....

I am proud of him.. Yesterday elected class president which he will be till he graduates and today his permit.. Oh my how time does fly....

I was watching a movie last night and although I fell asleep before it was over I had an ah ha moment during it.. They started singing Just as I am.. I have to admit that this is one of my favorite hymns and I love to sing it and to hear it....

The words go like this......

God wants us to come to Him just as we are, He doesn't care where we are or where we have been. Jesus His son died on the cross and shed His blood for you and me and all we have to do is come to Him.

Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot; to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot.
Oh Lamb of God I come, I come.

All we have to do is come to Him and He will rid us of our blots and make us whole in Him again. He wants us to come and give Him our lives and to rid us of the wrongs in our lives..

Just as I am though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt fightings and fears within, without. Oh Lamb of God I come, I come.

When life is too much and everything is a mess or full of hurt, doubt and you have fears and do not know where to turn. God is there and we need to turn to Him and let Him carry our burdens and help us through the muck and yuck of life..

He wants us to come to Him just as we are.. We don't have to worry about what we look like or anything else just come to Him as we are and let Him heal us..

Come as you are and let God take care of the rest.. You know no matter what happens or how I feel in life I know that God is there for me and will always be.. Ask me why or how I know and I will say that I know just because He said so..

He gives us a love that is unknown from any other and will break all the barriers down.. I love you Lord thank you..

We are here on earth for a time and will have to deal with that life, for a season, but then we get to go above and live with Christ for eternity.. That alone gives me the Hope to keep going no matter how bad this life might seem to be...

Please say a prayer for the family of Tanner Stanton he is the 17 year old son of my friend Cathy. Cathy is my daughter Jill and my son Jeremiah's couselor and also counsels with sever other kids from our area.. Tanner and a couple of friends  were out near a creek and dam and I do not have all the details, but Tanner saved his friend and then was swept under. This happened on Sunday and as of 4:30- 4:45 pm when I last spoke with our mutual friend Becky they had not found him yet..  Due to all the rains, flooding, and other factors where he went in it was making recovery efforts very difficult..

I know that Cathy always had extra kids at her house and that Tanner was a good kid who would give you the shirt off his back.. Please pray for Cathy and the rest of Tanner's friends and family.. Please pray for the staff at Solutions for Families who are also devestated by this as well as Cathy's best friend and hooked at the hip friend Becky whom I know is right there with Cathy holding her hand and though of Cathy's kids as her own.. They spent all spent lots of time together..  I know that Cathy and her family appreciate all your prayers....

When I heard I sent Becky a text and asked what we could do for Cathy and she simply replied PRAY.. So that my friends is what I am asking you to do is PRAY PRAY and Pray somemore for everyone affected by this tragedy.....
