• Thursday, July 10, 2008 - A Prayer for J to Come Home.....

Many of you know we are working on adopting a 16 yo girl from Arkansas.   We are blessed in God (and CPS), has allowed me to be a mentoring mom to her for about 3 months now with phone calls.  She does not know we are the family that is adopting her.  Some times I think she suspects.  I know she wants it to be us because she has ask me if we will over and over.  We are her "reserve" family in case the other family doesn't work out.  :)

I decided I wanted a place where people who are praying for this adoption's speedy happening to leave prayers and messages of hope and encouragement for J.  Once we are allowed to tell her I will share this page with her.  She said last night her church family was praying for this adoption.  I had to bite my tongue again to not tell her just how many people from every where are praying.

Please leave commits as often as you feel led.  Please share what state or nation you are in.  I think it will be neat to share this with her.  I know from commits left on my main blog   http://mom2countrykids.bravejournal.com/   that many are praying.  This will be an easy way to share them with her.

So let the posting began!

I am Becky's mom, so I already know your name. (Nola doesn't share it online.) There are many people praying for you- Nola is very frustrated at how long this has taken.

I hope you like your new home!

I hope J gets settled into your home as soon as possible and that God blesses you with her presence!! I can only imagine J has had some hard times, to lead to this, but I know that you will offer her a stable home, love abounding, and a Christian home she will want to come back to time and time again after she grows to be an adult.

I just wanted you to know I will be be praying for your family as the preparations are being made, and I will be praying for J as well that she will be at peace, not anxious, and that she will settle into your family gently.

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

Lord, thank you that all things work together for good for those who love you. Thank you for your perfect love. Thank you for the perfect place you are preparing for J. May things go quickly! May every detail that needs to take place happen quickly and without trouble. Bind the enemy in every way that he tries to thwart these plans. We love you, Father, and lean on you for your perfect plan. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear J, You are so blessed and loved not only by our heavenly Father but by your adoptive mother and dad and family. You are chosen by them! Always remember the place you belong now. So many prayers have been offered on your behalf. We praise GOD for his answers.

Dear LORD, unite this family physically in which you have already bound in love. Thank you for your great gift of adoption and adopting all of us into your family. Thank you for J and for your work in her life and heart. Help her to follow you wholeheartedly all of her days. For in you, we find love, joy and peace. Amen

Your journey to your family has been a long one. But it has been surrounded by a huge amount of prayer all along the way. Your (new) Mom has shared her heart with the rest of us so we could help on their amazing struggle to bring you home. God has an awesome plan for you and has been guiding your steps.
I am continuing to pray you home!

J - I am sure it has been a long journey for you. You have not been alone. The prayers of many wonderful people have held you up to our precious Lord. I have never met your family face to face but have become close thru our cyber prayer room and want you to know that many, many prayers have been offered and tears shed as this blessed day has been drawing nearer. God has a perfect plan for your life. I am sure that there is not a family anywhere that will love you more than your "new" forever family. You have been claimed by them for many months as paperwork has slowly made it's way. Please know that you are special. We will continue to pray that this transition will be made easier by God's presence in your life. May God richly bless you and your family.

• Wednesday, July 30, 2008 - Welcome Jessi

Posted by Uncle Tic
Howdy Jessi! I would be your uncle Tic. Married to my sweet Dusty, your new aunt. Yes, The Lord God Almighty has been at work, answered many prayers.
Now, let's get down to business. I'm glad Nola is your mom, and not mine. Don't mis-understand, I was a rowdy, and the less my mom knew about my shananigans, the better (for me). But you will learn, Nola has six eyes, and she doesn't miss a thing. Nola will give you assignments, and I would adivse you to immediately take care of whatever it is. Your life will be good. But cross up with Nola and you may find yourself living with consequences. Ask your new brothers and sisters about that! All kidding aside, your new parents are as loving and caring as you could every ask for, and you now have siblings that are so very precious. I know it will take some time for you to adjust, but never forget that there is a multitude praying for you and wanting only the best for you and your future. H.U.G.S. Uncle Tic

Hi J,

I am Dusty and Tic's daughter and your new cousin. I'm 29 and live in New Mexico, but try to visit the family in Texas as often as I can. I am so excited to hear we have another girl joining the family and even one with my same name - it's a really good name. :) Your picture is very pretty on the Arkansas website. I hope that we get to meet in person at my wedding in October in Galveston, Texas. I'm not sure if your new parents will be able to make it, but it would be fun if you all do. Until then, enjoy the country and I can't wait to meet you!

Love,
J. (the other one)

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life...your homecoming day to begin your new life with your forever family!

I have been praying long and hard for you, for your new family and for your future together.

I cried happy tears when I learned that the big day had finally come and that plans were being made to get you this weekend!!

I also cried happy tears when I learned you were rededicating your life to the Lord and getting rebaptized. What a wonderful way to begin a new life with your new family.

I will continue to keep you in prayer! God bless you always!

Dearest J
I met your new mom through the ourprayer online prayer group and I am totally in awe of her and all her abilities! You are so blessed.

Yes, she is strict....I sure wish I had her skills...she is loving and fair...but also has boundaries!

Your new mom is so talented and gifted in so many ways.

You are chosen to be a new member of their family. Sometimes there can be pregnancies that are unplanned...not accidents because God never makes mistakes...but unplanned by humans!! That is NOT the case with this new addition to the Jones family! They planned and waited and prayed and waited and prayed some more. They went through a lot of paperwork and interviews, home studies...all things that a biological birth would not entail. They chose you and love you! You are a blessing to them and I am sure you will soon realize what a blessing this special family is to you!

May God continue to bless you as you begin this new chapter in your life.

God,
We thank You for the gift of prayer and for being with J and Nola and family through this long journey. Continue Lord to be near to them as they begin this new chapter in their lives together. Watch over them as they face each challenge. Give them wisdom, direction and strength.

Thank You Lord for guiding them every step of the way...not only in what has been but what will be as well.

In Your precious name I pray. Amen

About Me

Just want to share the joys and tears of living in the country with others that understand them both. I am mom to 5 children. Two biological and three adopted. We are praying for one more adopted soon. We live 40 miles from town on 117 acres. My days are full of homeschooling children and dealing with livestock. Life is never dull or boring or "normal" what ever normal is. I ramble on here often, some times more than once a day as this is my main form of socialization with adults during the day. Hope to make some new friends here.
