Wednesday, November 5, 2008Election- Shmelection!Posted in PrayingI had the great fun this morning of breaking the election news to my children. They were appalled- I do believe they truly thought Chuck Baldwin would be our next president. After all, how could the nation go against their parents' wishes? I hope they don't get any bright ideas about their own obedience Now my responsibility is to pray daily (at least!) for our new president's safety, repentance and obedience to God's word. We have discussed God's gracious allowance for free will and how He allows us to make decisions that might not be in our best interest in the short run. We also talked about how ALL things work together for good to them that trust HIM. We'll continue to converse on the subject for a long time, I'm sure. TH asked if he would be old enough to vote in the next election, as if he could straighten this mess out if only he could cast his vote ![]() We now return you to your regularly scheduled prattle about recipes and hairbows. Thanks for stopping by. | 5 comments | | Link Monday, June 18, 2007Please pray...Posted in Praying...for my father-in-law. He had a heart attack this morning and we're being told that the doctors are not currently able to remove any of the blockage because there is just too much. My husband's family is all there but we are very far away. Thank you, Lindsey | 2 comments | | Link |
