Happenings here in Kijabe....

Last week I checked out other people's blog, what fun i had that night. We are a diverse bunch!! thanks to all the people who read and comment on my blog. what a surprise to see Tom M. reading my blog!!! The work team from the US is gone now, on their way back to the US after a trip to masaii mara. We enjoyed their visit but (truthfully) we are looking forward to a rest!!! we brought them up to little Lambs on Sunday and they had fun with the kids, our family went and we had fun together working on the food and enjoying them enjoying "our " kids. After having been here almost 2 years now I can honestly say they are "ours". We know their names, they family situations, we know some of their care givers, etc and this only comes from living with them. They know we are here with them and have comitted our lives to them and that makes a big difference!!! They ladies who run the centers are with us and us with them!! In fact the other day, they told me , they had never seen a white woman work that hard!1 I was highly complimented because if you saw how hard they work you would understand!!I told them "i am a mother of 5 children, i have to work hard!!!!"
This weekend is Easter and we will go to a sunrise service here at the station then have an egg hunt and eat dinner with the other Kinzer family. it will be fun!! Well that is it for now....

Ellen and Family, Glad to hear all is well with you and your family and "your kids". Rest is good, and it sounds like you all need it. Well I wanted to say Happy Easter and enjoy the day with Bruce's brothers family.

It's good to "see" you posting a little. Always wondering how you all are and what is happening. The cantata was great, finally saw it last night. 1 of the kids were sick Friday. Things are rather stressful here, but God is faithful. Missing you!
