Lost my computer!

Okay, here I am, mourning the loss of my computer.  Well, everything on my hard drive.  At least, for now.  My dad says the motherboard and the power supply are bad.  He can't access the motherboard.  He can somehow get my hard drive to work on another computer but it would take 4-5 hours.  Make that 8-10 hours.  I always double the amount of time my dad says.  The best thing would be to buy a new motherboard and power supply but it would take a week or more to get it in.  In the meantime, I'm using the laptop and have no access to my pictures.  That's the main thing, I guess.  I can't use my printer, but I can hook up the printer Perry got from school to print basketball stats on and use that if I absolutely have to.  I'll probably e-mail stuff to my mom or Johnny and have them print stuff.  I'm going to hook up the scanner to this laptop.  This laptop and even our smaller computer (w/win98) is so much slower than MINE!  Absence sure does make the heart grow fonder!!!

Well, I don't know how people do it.  Cook and bake, that is.  I just have so many other things I'd rather do!  I mean, it's fun, in a way, but there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything else that I WANT to do and the things I NEED to do.  I'm referring to the Coca-Cola cake I made today.  We're having some people over in a couple of hours to watch Western play on t.v. and Johnny asked if I'd make this cake.  He's had it elsewhere and got the recipe.  It has a cup of Coke in the cake and a cup of Coke in the icing!  Anyway, we needed buttermilk, flour, vanilla, baking soda (or powder, can't remember which, the one you can put in the fridge to get rid of odors) and a sifter.  Well, while Johnny had gone to eat lunch w/his mom and bro., I called him and asked if he got the sifter and he said he forgot, so he stopped by Target to get it.  He didn't know what it was and thought a strainer would do.  But, he wasn't positively sure.  I looked it up on Target's web site and saw that it was listed as a "flour" sifter.  I told him this and he seemed to realize that he had overlooked it and came home with it.  I saw on the website that they make an electric one.  I wondered why anyone would need an electric one!  I had to sift 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar and realized why they make an electric one!  Anyway, it got made and we'll see what the company says about it later!
