We went to the gym, library, Royal Music, my mom's, Natcher to take 4-H letters and home for lunch. The good thing was that Lacey stayed at my mom's until 2:00! My mom and dad brought her home and as they were leaving, my mom fell off the bottom step out front and fell down and her head landed in the mud between my "precious" monkey grass that I've been talking about lately! She didn't act hurt like I thought she would. I thought she'd be crying. She got muddy on the back of her shirt. I told her that Minnie fell stepping off the sidewalk at her house on Easter Sunday. I have so much to do in the house but I just don't want to do them! I think about "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" and how Kate cleans so much and has 8 kids!! She'd probably feel like she's going to catch some disease stepping into my house it's so dirty. Well, not dirty, dirty, just not spotless in every nook and cranny like hers. I'm going to mow Tommy's yard tomorrow while Lacey is at p/s. I'm going to use his push mower to trim FIRST and then use our riding mower for the rest. I have 4-H tomorrow afternoon. I was planning on having a field trip, but the Fire Station couldn't take us until NEXT Friday. So, at least that day is planned already. I've already sent the permission slips to the students today along with the meeting notice. We're going to play Career Bingo with prizes. Tonight was Molly's last night at gymnastics because she'll be having softball games on Thursdays. Tomorrow after 4-H, she has softball practice and then we're going to Country Hearth Inn for a mystery shop. Johnny is going to spend the night with hopefully at least Molly. I'm about to wash my hands of all the mystery shopping "job" because one of the companies has questioned us twice about the circumstances of a visit. Once for Arby's and once for Motherhood. Therefore, I'm not getting paid. It's because the employees there recognized me (or remembered me) and so my "anonymity" has been compromised. I feel like I've done something wrong and they won't tell me any details about the Arby's one. Ugh. The house is just such a mess. The kitchen table has some sticky spots and I JUST DON'T WANT TO GET UP TO GET A WET RAG AND WIPE IT DOWN!! I wish I could get out of this "rut" or whatever it is. It just dawned on me that MAYBE it has something to do with me weaning off of Zoloft. My goodness, it's just a little bit that I take (50mg) and halfing it EVERY OTHER DAY shouldn't make that much difference. But, I'm going to stick with it and maybe in about 2 weeks do a half pill every day. I can always go back on it with a full pill everyday if I have to. After I pick up Lacey at p/s tomorrow, we're going to W-M and one of the things I'm going to get is toothpaste for her. She's been out of hers for a few days now and doesn't want to use any other flavor. Then we're going to Lowe's to get a part to fix the kitchen faucet with and some white flowers for the flower bed out front. We still need mulch, but we never have time and anyway, I need to separate the tons of (solid green) monkey grass. Some good news is that the big bamboo bush that was bitten by the hard frost is "coming back". I'm hoping to get the ice maker "fixed" soon. It makes ice, but they're hollow. I'm always having to go and raise the lever so that it won't drop (harvest) the ice before it freezes. I think it's the solenoid. I've looked and looked and come up with that diagnosis. The best web site for fixing appliances is applianceguru.com or something like that. The guy is a beer drinker and says that if you donate to him for his free advice, you're donating to the "beer fund". Of course, it's just funny because it's "tongue in cheek", or "sarcastic" or "dry humor" or something like that. I don't know what it's called, but I like that kind of humor. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's beer or anything. He also "types" like he's talking. Clear as mud, huh? |
