Blog comment
I received a comment on my blog and I found it interesting that the comment was from someone who seems to be so confident in her rights as a woman and so free from the restraints of men, that she had to leave her comment anonymously. I am excited that my sister is feeling empowered as a woman by the exact and direct words from the Bible and Jesus. It is an amazing thing when one truly understands her role before God.

I feel the need to say something in defense of the Scriptures here:
In rebelling against her husband's authority a woman is robbing the peace from her home. She is tearing it down with her own hands. God ordered a system of authority for our own protection-too often we in our selfish pride take it upon ourselves to usurp HIS authority, thinking WE know better, and in the end we are the ones who will suffer for it. And no, Christ did not promote women being doormats. I believe Adam committed the first sin by abdicating his God-given place of authority. Scripture soundly supports this point. But you know, the woman is given the greater place of honor-she is the glory of man! That should say something. Someone has to be the leader; God gave it to the man. It is a solemn and heavy responsibility. The woman who tries to take it from him is bringing shame to her husband and the name of Christ. She is leaving the umbrella of protection by overstepping her bounds.
I realize there are times we must humbly refuse to submit, when sin is involved-but that is not something one should feel free to advertise to the disgrace of her husband. Satan is at work in the world-we must fight his lies and deception. Our God of order did institute a system of authority for us-if we are wise we will follow it in obedience to His Word. :)

This is such a tough subject, as so many women do not trully search the Scriptures on a woman's role. Over and over again the woman is called to submit to her husband as unto the Lord. If the Lord told you not to talk to your sister would there even be a question. I know it would be hard but she's not disobeying her husband, she is disobeying God. My husband too, asks things of me on occasion that I think could be done a different way or better etc. but would I even question God. Ofcourse not. I am to submit in this same matter. If her husband is trully lost, God's word says that he will be won by not even a word but by your sister's actions...I Peter 3:1-2. If her actions are disobedience he will never be won. I would just encourage her in the Word and pray ferverently for her husband. That God would turn his heart to Him.
Titus 2:3-5; Ephesians 5:22-24
