Chicken Pox!
My youngest five children are in various stages of coming down with chicken pox!! My oldest four had them many years ago. For some reason, my 13-year-old son, Ben, developed shingles about three weeks ago. I know that shingles is related to the chicken pox virus. Now the younger children are getting the pox. Noah (age 7) was the first and is definitely the worst right now, followed by Isaiah (age 5), Jesse (age 3), Esther (9 months), then Joey (age 9) is just now starting to spot.
Needless to say, my dear ones are in the process of becoming very miserable. I'd surely appreciate prayers on their behalf! I know that Our Father causes all things to happen for His purpose, and I'm looking hard to find His purpose in chicken pox. I am starting to believe that His purpose this week in this illness it to give me additional practice in patience. He knows that I need that, and He is always SO GOOD!!!
Have a lovely day today, Cherylann

At least they are all getting it over with at one time. I caught them when I was 16 yo and missed my prom. lol (believe me, its much worst when older)
Give them an oatmeal bath and keep plenty of benadril (sp) and calomine on hand.
Praying for a speeding and itch-less recovery.

Perhaps God's purpose for them getting them now is that the older they get the worse it could be. For them... not you. I am praying for them and for you.

can I bring my kids over? I am afraid that they will never get chicken pox, not going to school, and I do not believe in this vaccine. course, mine are 5, 3 and 8 mo, so I have time before I need to worry, but still.....
Some do some don't:)

Blessings!
We have our eldest girl (28) is never got them but has had shingles several times. Our eldest boy (24) had them at 2. Next boy (23) never had them. Next boy (20) had them at 6. Next boy (18) had them at three who promptly gave them to his sister (now 17) at 18 months. And our youngest (14) got them on our trip down to take care of my mother two years ago (she was 12).
I wasn't for lack of exposing them:) Although contagion is only during the first 10 days before they break out I'm told. So who knew if they would be exposed until someone came down with them?:)
Praying for your children to have comfort and relief from the itchies and crankies:) And for you too:)
God be with thee!
