Still decluttering - are you?

I am so happy that I had a great response to yesterday's declutter challenge. I did get several bags of clothes out of my bedroom and a tote of stuff for the garage sale but, I still have a long way to go. So, I am going to keep decluttering today. Dh is off which means I may not be able to spend the whole day cleaning and decluttering, but he is out mowing hay right now which gives me a little time. I have laundry started and just made a jug of sweet tea, so I am ready to go. I will try to get back on here after awhile to let you know how things are going and to see how all of you are doing.
I must confess, I can't wait until I can give a report like Mrs. Wood and say that my house is "clean and free of distractions". Doesn't that just sound wonderfully relaxing and peaceful? Congratulations on a wonderful blessing for your home and family Mrs. Wood. And great job to all of you joining with me on this declutter mission!! Thank you also for commenting to let me know!
Blessings,
Rashel

That does sound nice...clean and free of distractions....hummm.
I look at the coming of Fall as a good time for major de-cluttering and cleaning....getting the house in order before the holidays.
I am joining you in de-cluttering, but it will have to wait until Monday because today, and this weekend are full of activities!
I am actually looking forward to starting! Thank you for the boost!

I worked for a while yesterday, but got interupted by some welcomed visitors and then hubby decided to take me out. So today it's back to the grindstone. I did my before bed routine last night which helped so much in getting my day started. I also got up and did my morning routine and after lunch I will work in this week's zone, which is the master bedroom and bath. I'm also doing my basic daily routine which includes cleaning out my vehicles and my purse, taking some extra care with our animals, straightening the laundry room, filing some papers, and doing our white laundry. My kids have been gone all week and will be home tonight, and I am so excited, so trying to get everything done so I can spend time with them this weekend.
Blessings, sara

This is my goal as well, clean and free of distractions. I love our home, and I love the things we have filled it with. But some things are in excess! Drawers in the kitchen that are now nicknamed, "junk drawers", two closets upstairs, filled to almost overflowing with things we didn't have room for, but are not quite willing to give away. These things if nothing else need to be put in protective Rubbermaid boxes and labeled. And then there is the garage!! AHHHHH!! Calgon, take me away! LOL Ok, so the garage, I have decided is man's territory, and therefore hubby's responsibility! LOL But the rest of the house, I can't wait to get it done, and toss some things, donate some things, find new homes for things, sell some things, and downsize on the clutter in my home.
I have already started by decluttering and reorganizing my sewing table and crafting supplies and fabric stash. I am starting off with small projects I can do while Noah is napping, or can do while he is helping me (he is 2).
Thanks for the encouragement of your blog!
God's Blessings,
Amy Jo
