The Joy Of Packing

I don't know that there is much joy in packing, except for the fact
that it gives us something to do as we wait to move onto our new little
farm on the 22nd. I am really loving reading thru the blogs here,
i feel like i am going to be able to find out anything i ever wanted to
know from the wealth of information posted by the bloggers here.
it's *so* exciting to me.
Let's all do the HAPPY HAPPY DANCE!

So happy you are starting a new adventure and in no time at all you will be a master gardner. Looking forward to reading all about your adventure. The easy way is to start with raised bed gardens. You can plant small amounts of things in each bed and there isn't any tilling or lots to weed. What is your climate and how large and what do you want to plant have alot to do with how you garden.

There's something to be said for the "packing" to move for an especially good move. Excited for y'all. Just hope you have better luck "unpacking" than I did - I still, 2 years later, have boxes all over - but you know what? You have lots more help than me and really good helpers, too. My two little elves somehow peter/pooter out on me and evaporate....imagine that? And you have Coie outside changing tires and all......well, she'll have all those boxes unpacked in nano seconds I bet.
Very excited for y'all - seriously. I, too, look forward to learning from others around - since, well, I don't seem to be doing so well around our homesteady....every time I think I'm one up - well, some "thing" likes to show up and let me know who's in charge...........
still....sniffling....snibbling.....and pouting from new years..........
ok - over that -
very sorry to hear about your family's loss - prayers and thoughts and safe travel prayers for Geo, too.
Take care,
Harriette
Have fun packing!!
hopefully you won't have nudist neighbors anymore! if you do they will be far away with 15 acres!
Trade ya

How's that packing going today?
Well...I finally caved and got me a HomeSTEADBlogger ... this should be interesting... I really do want to learn ... I guess I'm a little ahead of you -- we did (well rather my husband did) plant some raised bed gardens in our backyard this summer...we had LOTS of tomatoes and cucumbers! If only I knew what to do with all of them....hmmmmm....
Joy in Packing...

Been there, done that more times than I care to recall. We are looking at a property right now in Rosarito, no power, no water for at least 6 months to a year so I could be a homesteader for a little while.
Love,
Jen
