Alaska Is Looking Pretty Good....

How come nobody told me how hot Tennessee gets? Good golly,
yesterday I about died from heat stroke -- and I didn't even go
outside. I stayed inside all day with the air conditioner cranked
on superly duper high. When the sun started to go down I
went outside with Dippy for about 15 minutes to play on the tree swing
(no injuries this time). If I'd of known TN gets this hot,
I might have stayed in Cali. Sheeeeesh, I'll be glad when winter
gets here. How did those pioneers do it when they didn't have
AC?
This was funny!

You post made me laugh out loud - I feel your pain - We have similar heat and humidity in VA! Bless your heart - stay cool!
"It's the humidity!"

I never believed it until we moved from Tennesse to Arizona. Now every summer when we go home for a visit, my hubby says he can't breath. I remind him that along with humidity you get GRASS, TREES, all those pretty things that we dont have here. Anyway, I'd swap with you anytime you want! :) Maybe you could vacation at my house while we are there! ~Shaundra
I'm enjoying your new attempt at blogging and farming...

I'm really not anonymous, but I'll be darned if I can remember what my user name is! My name is Angie and we recently moved (10 months ago) to a cozy little 3 acre home in MO. I'm discovering my inner farmer also (even though I come from a farming heritage, but something didn't pass on to me) and am quite proud of my tomato and strawberry plants. I'll share my tomatoes if you'll share your green beans. I have a 15 year old, very strong son...so I don't need to use a hoe!
The name of my blog is Th'ree Acre Harvest, but I don't know how to link you to it. I'm switching from another blog host to this one, so I don't have much on my new one yet. Hopefully will soon.

yep - it's HOT, HOT, HOT way down here, too. We've had as high as 103 last week. The humidity does wonders for one's hair, too...........I've considered shaving my head.
I remember having big ol' window fans in our house growing up (no AC) - but I'd nearly "swayahr" it was "neva" this hot when I was little.......
sounds like y'all are having way too much fun now that y'all are farmin'......
;-)
cya,
Harriette
