I reciently started a blog too...I am having fun with it!

Butter

We place our cream in a smaller size jar let it get to room temperature,shake nonstop for 20 or so min. then take out the butter keeping the milk from it for pancakes or other uses, then run the butter under very cold water till the water runs clear and then we form it into a ball and place in fridge in a container. This works for us and if I get tired of shaking the jar I hand it over to one of my children. Have fun trying out new things!! -Dawn

Wow...great job on finding the milk...how did the kids take the change over? This is still on my to-do list!!

How are the chickens? when is "D" day for some of them? I am assuming some of them / most of them will be in the freezer? How many are you keeping for eggs?
