Autumn.....
Autumn Song Know'st thou not at the fall of the leaf And how the swift beat of the brain Know'st thou not at the fall of the leaf Dante
For my MotherHey Mom! I finally got around to posting the pics from "The Great Redecorate of 2008" LOL!!! These are from the church restroom. Sorry no before pic!
The images aren't the best, but you can see that the room is different. That is potpourri and candles in front of the mirror btw. Now for (my) Secretary/ (Sis. Marie)Treasurer/ (David) Mission's Director, and general all around church office.
My Sweet Hubby!!!
Oh look! A visitor! The walls are a cream color. The carpet is eggplant ,grey and black. I made the topper for the window and did all of the decorating. I think I did a pretty good job concidering the fact that I had to purchase all of this on a VERY tight budget! Guess what? I made the computer table with 2 filing cabinets and a hollow core door from Lowes!!! I just painted it black to match the filing cabinets and the bookshelves. I plan to paint the walls a richer honey color whenever I get the chance. (the color of the ribbon on the topper) It is hard to tell in the pictures, but that color will warm up all the cool colors in the room and make it feel more homey. I hope you enjoy the pics! P.S. For everyone else......I attend a small country church, so please do not judge! Thanks.....Thank you to all the people who responded to my previous entry "where do i fit in". I personally have not been attacked by anyone on this site, but I have seen where others have. It just breaks my heart to see that grown "ladies" feel the need to bash others for their beliefs or convictions. I am encouraged though to know that there are still ladies in Homestead Blogger that genuinely care for the other bloggers. Touching Others My life shall touch a dozen lives Before this day is done; Leave countless marks for good or ill Ere sets the evening sun.
This is the wish I always wish, The prayer I ever pray; Lord, may my life help other lives It touches by the way.
God Bless You All! Paid In FullSource: Hillbilly Housewife September Newsletter http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/index.htm PAID IN FULL Author Unknown A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man’s name embossed in gold. Angry, he rose his voice to his father and said “with all your money, you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father’s house, a sudden feeling of sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father’s important papers and saw the still gift-wrapped Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt.7:11, “And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give to those who ask Him?” As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL. How many times do we miss God’s blessings because we can’t see past our own desires? Where do I fit in?I have blogged (on and off) on the Homestead Blogger for almost a year now and I have noticed that all of the blogs that I liked reading aren't here anymore. Some of these poor women have been run off by people saying nasty things to them and others have left because of the things that were said to others. I am just not sure that I want to have a blog here anymore. The atmosphere has changed so much, that I just do not feel comfortable blogging here anymore. I used to love reading One Dear Lady's blog and I miss her terribly. I do not believe the same way that she believes, but you can tell that she has a relationship with the Lord and I often got help just by reading her blogs. I believe some evil spirited person/people drove her out of this blogging community. Who is next?{ Last Page } { Page 1 of 15 } { Next Page } |
