Arrggh! It's only 1pm and already I'm on my last nerve! Talk about little spears and arrows from the enemy. EVERYTHING is bugging me today! The pets, the kids, the hubby, the weather, the mess, the clutter...Jack just dropped his full lunch plate on the floor....deep breath...hold it....exhale...nothing's broken, no one got hurt. I want to go into a sound proof room and scream!!
The momma in First We Have Coffee used to pull her big, full apron over her head and sit on her rocker for a much needed moment alone with God when things were going wrong. Guess I should try that. The kids all knew to leave momma alone when they saw her sitting with her apron up over her face and head. With my luck, Jack will think it's a great new game of hide-and-seek!
As Rich Mullins sings,
"You have been King of my Glory, Won't you be my Prince of Peace.
Peace, like a river flows. My Peace I give you. And the Peace which surpasses all understanding...
PEACE....

Not making light of your situation, but maybe for your sake as much as Jack's, you should do the apron thing in the closet instead of the rocker..lol...Have a better day tomorrow I pray...Debbie

Ohhhh my can I relate! Yesterday was one of those days for me too. My son was mad because he did not want to follow the 'if you go out you stay out for a half hour unless your dying" rule and punched the glass in the kitchen door. He put his fist through it and it is destroyed. Thank God for his protection because my son could have very well cut his hand to shreds. Still the whole day went wrong after that. It took much effort and grace to get through the day. I like the apron over the head idea ;) My kids would probably think I had lost it but it is surely better than actually losing it!!! I hope your day is much nicer today.
